Lyle shook his head, highly doubtful that Loony would find the treasure again. “You can’t say that. The book is made from special materials and not something that can be destroyed by ordinary means. No matter how powerful they are, they can’t destroy my treasure. Besides, I’m quite certain that they’ll never comprehend that divine book in a million years. I can bet that with you.” Philip shook his head at Loony’s confidence. He was not interested in the book. He was just curious to see what endless tricks the demons had. The demons did not sound easy to mess with.

Fenris leaned in closely as Lillia casually shuffled through a small pile of books, long after her maidens had left for the night. The faint scent of mint and lavender lingered in the air. “We could equally continue ‘The Art of War’.” Lillia chuckled quietly, “it’s not a bad book.” “Yes, but that’s because it’s a terrible book.” Fenris released a strained sigh, getting frustrated just by mentioning it. Lillia laughed. “But it has helped us learn a lot, and even helped the investigation. I am beginning to think I should read more books like that instead of fantasies.”

I sat on the sofa, flipping through my old photo album. Yesterday after we left the grocery store, I went to the spa as planned and Andrew said he was going to meet an old friend, it was about some job stuff he didn’t want to talk about much, so I decided to let him use my car. Flipping through the photos, tears began forming in my eyes, I closed my eyes and let out a breath. Today is supposed to be a good day for me, I don’t know if I should be celebrating or moaning, either ways, I enjoy spending the day staring at my old pictures and writing letters. I softly chuckled at my baby picture, I was very cute when I was a baby, and my mom says I had the cutest buttocks. My cheeks always get red

"Because if you are, then let me tell you as early as now that you're wrong." She measured me with a look. I chewed on my bottom lip. I couldn't believe we were having this conversation now. Eventually, she cracked a smile. "Oh poo. You're too serious." Blaze leaned away. "You always fall for my jokes." She glanced at my hands. "Are those books for her? Please place it on the bed." I could feel her eyes boring through my back as I put the books on the bed like she said. I turned to her when I was done, wrapping my arms self-consciously around me. "Don't look at me like that."

Eli and I worked in silence, sifting through the ancient texts and documents in hopes of finding something that would shed light on the dark force and its current activities. Hours passed, and fatigue began to set in. Just as I was about to give up, Eli’s voice broke the silence. “Lily, look at this.” He handed me an old, leather-bound book, its cover worn and faded. “This looks like it might be important.” I opened the book carefully, my eyes scanning the faded text. The pages detailed the history of the dark force, its rise, and its attempts to control the rogues. The descriptions were chilling, painting a picture of a malevolent entity with the power to corrupt and destroy.

Brooklyn said, walking toward a computer in the back, where she put her bag and logged on. Then, she went to the shelves to get the materials she was looking for, stacking them in her arms. When her arms were full, she carried them back to the desk and flipped through them, making notes on the computer as she read. After a few hours, she logged out of the computer, stood up, and stretched. She put the books onto the re-shelving cart, then waved to Rosy. “I’m out of here for now,” she said. “I hope you got everything you needed,” Rosy said.

She stole my breath away at that moment. She picked up the phone at the other end, her eyes urging me to do the same. “I’m planning on writing a book,” she whispered, still maintaining her friendly face. “Writing a book? Bitch, what the hell do you want?” I yelled, my eyes blazing with fury. What did her writing skills have to do with me? “The book is about failures. Guess who would be on the cover? You,” she said, her lips parting as laughter escaped them. I stared at her with rage, different methods of turning her instincts flickering in my mind.
