His Enemy, My Husband

His Enemy, My Husband

This morning, Isla’s new mansion felt unnaturally quiet, too serene for such a large space. She stirred and rose from the bed with unhurried grace, slipping into a cream robe, and then on her bare feet she crossed to the small tea station by the wall. While making her tea, she moved to the writing desk by the window, where the morning light was brightest. Then she proceeded to open her laptop, logged in and began to quietly scan her inbox. The first email that caught her attention was stamped with the glossy branding of New York Fashion Week.

Help Me, Stepbrothers, For I Have Sinned

I replied to his offer. “Lavender! The world out there in Isola Vira isn’t nice at all,” Easton said, forcing a fake smile as he tried to change my mind. "Living in this manor with a family that uses me—drags me to an island—uses me for my emotions and benefits—does that seem safer to you? No matter what, I cannot stay here in peace. Every minute living here has been a challenge for me—I just cannot," I said, sighing deeply.

Divorced Me, I Accepted My CEO Propose

Divorced Me, I Accepted My CEO Propose

But to be honest, Max didn't want to lower his annoying attitude in front of Eva. For him, seeing Eva's various expressions was a pleasure in itself. “I'm not used to eating comfortably when everyone is around and approaching me.” Max started the car. The engine roared and was ready to cut through the night. When he arrived in Long Island yesterday, Max didn't use his beloved red car. He had no idea how the car ended up in Long Island. “Tonight's dinner is quite appetizing. At least you should enjoy it, Max.” Max chuckled. “I wish I could.” The steering wheel he was holding felt smooth and responsive. Long Island at night was still bustling, with many people lining the streets of the food di

Demon Law : Lost Isle Book 1

Demon Law : Lost Isle Book 1

Knowing when and where to use my energy, so none is wasted—and I don’t give in to the impulses that leave me with nothing—is a centuries-long achievement. Took me longer than I care to admit to figure out where I landed. The Isle is nothing like the prison it's advertised as. Like walking through the pages of an anime, really. Old world. Pure world. Barely touched by man—and still sprinkled with the little conveniences that make it worth dealing with. Hell, half the humans I ever dealt with in the Bayou would stamp their ticket just for the fact that mosquitoes don’t exist and AC isn’t needed on half the Australian-sized continent.

The Bride Who Chose Her Own Kingdom

The Bride Who Chose Her Own Kingdom

"The Marseille team leaves in three days. Sofia and I are going to Long Island to breathe and sort the supply list. Coming?" Sofia, my best friend and the Rossi family's sharpest accountant, heard the story and said, "Come. Dress pretty. Let the trash stink by itself." That afternoon, we went to the Long Island coast. No casino, no family table, no Lucas and Vivian. Only sea wind, a lighthouse, lobster rolls, clam chowder, and a bonfire where Sofia made me laugh until the ache in my chest loosened. Noah took photos and let Sofia boss him around with a patient smile.

Island Kisses

Island Kisses

I beamed into his bright green eyes and took a still breath before speaking. “I don’t think I’ve ever been more ready,” I told him, placing my hands on his shoulders and drawing his lips near to mine. Slowly, like the setting sun and the ocean horizon, our lips came together on his island. The soft scent of a tropical island, the waves, and the beach mingled with his cologne and I knew that I would forever be in love with his island kisses.

The Island

The Island

I trailed off, briefly wondering if the check would still be safe if I’d left it in my bra instead of moving it to my purse when I boarded the final flight that was bound for New York City. “I’m intimately involved with “The Island,” Anya. I’m one of the main investors, and you wouldn’t believe what a chuckle I got seeing your name on the roster of competitors for the weekend.” His beady eyes focused on me, and he licked his lips in a hungry fashion. “I quite enjoyed your show, though was aggravated to have a lot of the footage missing when the producer forwarded it to me yesterday. I didn’t get to see your deflowering, for example. Tell me what the hunter did to you, and in great detail.” I

Working With My Ex Again

Working With My Ex Again

Holt, grey suit, forgettable tie, slid the document half an inch closer to her side of the table, as if she hadn't already read every single page three times the night before. "I know," Isla said pleasantly. She initialled page four. The office was quiet in that particular way that expensive rooms were quiet, thick carpet, floor-to-ceiling glass, forty stories of New York humming somewhere far below like a frequency only the building could hear. Outside the windows the skyline was doing its thing, gold and grey and relentless, a city that did not particularly care that Isla Mercer's marriage was ending on the ninth floor. She had always respected that about New York.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Reasonable honestly. Then Lily understood. A little. Not enough. But a little. Then another page. Another sentence. And suddenly Thomas stopped. Completely stopped. His face went pale. Then Adrian stepped closer. "What?" Thomas couldn't answer. Then Adrian looked at the journal himself. And froze. Lily hated that. Adults kept freezing. Every time they read something. Then finally Adrian read it aloud. "The island returns every twenty years." Silence. Nobody spoke. Then: "This storm marks its return."

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.
