TEN HOURS BEFORE THE WEDDING Lorena sat at the edge of her bed, her hands resting against her face, as she sobbed quietly. Her phone sat beside her on the bed, a video playing in a loop. Her lip quivered, and her head throbbed the more she cried. Not even the voices in her head could push through her distraught state. There was a stillness in her being as if the world had paused at that moment, safe for her and her trickling tears.

Connor said again. " We are so sorry Luna Queen" the rest chorused. Even Lynn, who has been crying since she found out the truth , was on her knees. She's the one that is crying the most among everyone. She knew that she's the one that failed the most. She couldn't even bring herself to say a single word.

She gave me the stink eye before going to the kitchen. I proceeded to my room. I hear sobs coming from the room. I rushed to her side. "Hey, why are you crying?" She hurriedly wiped her face with the tip of her cloth. " Nothing" " What do you mean nothing? You are crying. What is going on?" I asked in concern. Lorena was a happy soul. Seeing her sobbing showed that it was serious. She sniffed and let out a hiccup." It's nothing. I'll be fine. I just need some time to myself." She attempted to smile, but it came out as a grimace.

On the control panel, a new video signal forced its way into the stream. Damien cursed. “He’s breaching the feed.” Adrian’s tone dropped low. “Trace it. Now.” Luna’s frozen image on-screen dissolved, replaced by another: her younger self, from years ago, crying in a dressing room, pleading with someone off camera. Her voice echoed over the speakers, raw, broken. “Please, I’ll do better. Just don’t replace me…” The audience gasped. Comment threads exploded. Adrian moved fast. “Cut the stream!”

I asked angrily. Lorena didn't reply at first but when she saw the angry look on my face, she stood up and walked to the window side. "It not as if I'm not happy that we are moving but..." She paused. "But what?" I also stood up and walked to where she was standing. I stood beside her and touched her shoulder. Lorena looked at me with tears in her eyes and quickly wiped it away with her hand. "Why are you crying?" I quickly asked. "Are you mad because I yelled at you? If that why then I'm sorry." I apologized.

Roxy tried to catch Lia's eyes. Lia took a deep breath and bowed completely. She couldn't stop her tears from rolling down. It was as if her chest was going to explode at that moment.
