Malachi and Levi drove to the Council ranch in silence. Levi had spent two full days silencing the Mexican cartel in Anaheim, making sure there would be no blow back to Kai. The Council’s ranch, in Montana, was located on Bitterroot Lake. It was built on the river with groves of trees flanking the house. It had wide open spaces, and it was quiet. The Council held meetings there, and once or twice, they’d invited future Council Alphas to the ranch.

Mantilo ran a hand over his chin, took a deep breath and resumed his tail, with obvious hesitation.

I question with ire. “When Lamia visited Cambiador, they also traveled to a place called Tolba. A lost pack of pride Lions. There, they were shown a library that contained information since the dawn of this realm. It also contained a mirror, a portal between realms.” Hunji paused for a breath and looked to Morgan to carry on with the story.

I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. The truth was right there, but fear tightened around my throat and swallowed it whole. And Damien… He hadn’t looked away once. His eyes were locked on me, sharp and unreadable. It felt like he could see through me. I was having a panic attack and I couldn't move. I wished I could disappear. After what felt like forever, I gave the smallest nod. It was all I could manage. The priest raised his arms high. “Then, by the ancient laws of the Lycan bloodline, I now pronounce you mates. May the Moon Goddess bless your union.”

It could be in any cave. After this was done and achieved, we would have to wait for an extra month before the red moon appears. This was quite tiring on my part but I had no choice. Damian walked into the office. "The gammas are already situated in the various caves in the region. Reports came to me that Rodrigo's men were found roaming those caves," he said.
