When the security camera was checked Bevlok told me some files were lost, files don't just get lost or get deleted. And they were the recent recording that suddenly disappeared into thin air. I said. “The money hasn’t—” “There is no money. And no videos.” I held up the phone. “We wiped your servers while you gloated. Every file. Every backup. Gone.” Her face went white. At first, there’s nothing. Then I realize the “Recently Deleted” folder has been cleared. No trace. Like it never happened. Except—I know it did. My mind races. I open my messaging app, checking for old notifications, anything. Eventually, in a quiet corner of my inbox, I find a single, fragmented notification buried deep in my system log: [Missed call – Knoxx Wayne – 9:46 PM.] My breath catches. It was five days ago. I never saw it. Because someone erased it.

Grace, on the other hand, no longer attends, her mother has stopped her for a long time due to lack of money. Kristine and leo are still out of breath from running.
