He's swimming away and I read the text at full speed. Silas: I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner, I miss you so much. I smile and type a reply. Me: It's okay, I miss you more, can't wait to see you. Silas: Can we meet tomorrow? I wanted to give you something special. I grin widely. Me: I'm not sure if I can make it, Lore will be home tomorrow. My eyes lift from the phone to the pool and find Lore standing, facing the window while drying his hair with a towel and eyes fixed on me.

she whispered, her voice dripping with affection. I frowned. "Don't use that tone when you address me. We're not friends, not even acquaintances. I don't want anyone taking it the wrong way." Her lips disappeared into a thin line as she tucked her affection away. "Seamus, my advisor said I might get into Harland. Can you pick me up during registration? You're the only person I know who's in Harland. And I'd like one last photo with you." I paused. We were neighbors, and we did grow up together. Zoe and I would take a photo together every year to celebrate our friendship. We'd taken 17 pictures with the fig tree as the backdrop.

Today was their funeral, and I had hoped he would come to say goodbye. After countless unanswered calls, I checked Fiona's social media and found my answer. That week, Lionel had been busy planning Eva's birthday party and helping them move into a luxury apartment. Their photos showed lavish housewarming dinners and poolside celebrations. One picture showed the three of them in swimsuits, Lionel and Fiona holding Eva up in the water, all wearing brilliant smiles. The caption read, [Life is beautiful because of your boundless love. Every warm moment exists because of you.] Looking at Lionel's smile in those photos, any remaining warmth in my heart turned to ice. I turned to Luke and said, "Le

“If duty is what binds us, then let it hold strong. And if love comes, let it come slowly, honestly.” I nodded, though my heart whispered Amara’s name even now. Tomorrow, I would bind myself to Lorraine. Tomorrow, I would mark her. But tonight, I allowed myself one last thought of the girl I had lost, the mate I would never stop loving, even as I walked into the arms of another.

He paused, letting go of one of Lora’s hands to get a handkerchief from his pocket which he used to wipe his tears. “You loved me first, but, in return, I loved you more than my life. I love you, Lora Davis. I really do… no words can explain… but my love for you can’t fit in my chest… it’s unmeasurable. I promise to stand by your side, to support your dreams and to cherish every moment that we spend together like it was the last because no one knows tomorrow. Lora Davis, I promise to fall in love with you every day because you’re so worth it.”

Nora asks startled "Lovergirl! It is only sweet at the beginning, you better shine your eyes and don't get swept away by the flood" she smirks her tongue irritably at Nora who mocks her in return "Beef this much? Better go and text Richard, Tito, Dino, or what is that your albino dude's name?" Tade snaps quickly "He is a white Liberian, not an albino! Get the difference"

She muttered to herself. Just then, she heard a beep on her phone. She took it out and it saw that it was a text message from her Dad. She opened it and read; ''Amelia darling, Good morning. Your Mom told me that she already dropped you off at your new school. I hope you're good. Enjoy your first day at school. Love you.'' She smiled and was about to text back when she mistakenly bumped into someone. "Oh, I am so sorry, I didn't see you there.'' She said,

Becca and Demitri looked nervously at each other before Kendra held out her glass. "To lasting friendship." Kendra said and Steve and Kyle both raised and clinked Kendra's glass. The other two hesitated then slowly raised their glasses and drank at the same time as the others. They both felt a burning in their throats as the sour-bitter liquid confused their tastebuds. they swallowed and coughed a bit, laughing at each other. They were all one drink in before they started playing dumb sleepover games to pass the time. First it was hide and seek, then it was never have i ever, which got them drunk enough to start playing truth or dare.

Kiana's Pov "Get the curtains, align them here." The Hall after the company's entrance was rowdy as I stepped in, people moving in and out of the place. My eyes met with my secretary, Loveth. I quickly rushed to meet her where she was. "Loveth, how are you doing? When are we planning to start this party? It's almost 11, and people have been seated already." She widened her eyes. "We are almost done with everything. It's just that-" She paused.
