I said as we both wept. She spoke of the trauma and a profound despair that clung to her like a shadow. “I am a shadow of myself, Elah.” I could not comprehend the extent of Lima's suffering. “How did I not notice all along?” “Thomas is smart at what he does, I had tried to get back at him but I couldn't.” Lima came close to me and held my hands. I could feel the fear and coldness in her arms. “Thank you Elah, for giving me the opportunity to get justice.”

“She’s inside.” --- Adrian pushed the door open. And stopped. --- Ammie lay there. Still. Weak. Her face pale. Her body connected to machines. For a second— Adrian couldn’t move. “…Ammie…” he whispered. He walked slowly toward her. Like moving too fast would shatter everything. His hand reached for hers. Cold. Soft. Familiar. And just like that— He broke. Tears fell. “I’m here,” he whispered, his voice trembling. “I’m here…”

His clean, woody scent enveloped me, and his warm hand gently stroked my back. "Cry," he said softly. "I'm here. No one will ever hurt you again." That simple promise was like opening a floodgate. All the hurt, the pain, and the bitterness burst forth at that moment. I buried my face in his shirt and cried like a child. Lorenzo let my tears soak his collar, holding me even tighter.

A wound no plea could heal. And there, inside that room, two hearts that had once loved each other deeply stood divided by a chasm so vast that it might never be crossed again.

That was why they came after me and everything I loved. Fuck Richard. “I worked for this,” I continued. “I bled for this.” My fingers clenched slightly on the fork. “I suffered for every single step.” Grace watched me carefully but didn’t interrupt. “And after all that… the heavens decide to bless me with an incurable sickness.” I laughed again, but the sound had no humor in it. “And guess what?” “What, Boss?” She asked softly. “The only person who can heal me…” I leaned forward slightly. “…is my fucking wife.”

"Charlie I am telling you for free, it will ruin you and I mean it" I sighed, "If Mason ever breaks my heart I'm still going to love, it doesn't change the person I am, the whole world doesn't have to suffer and bleed because I was hurt, the best way to heal is to love, you just have to tell yourself... hey I was ruined but the world still has everything it takes for a change ,I don't think if you die today you're going to heaven, I don't know if heaven even exists, but I do believe there's a place kept for people with a good pure heart, and I don't think you're going there because there's so much hate in you, heal Dad, you need it".
