Mostly books about romance and a few about dark romance.There were also a few school books about biology, astrophysics, chemistry, physics and engineering etcetera. “Miss Romano.” Elena called out.

"Not recently, but yeah. A friend of mind passed some around last year. I've been reading her cast-offs." Which friend? And what kind of romance books? "I read a few." He shook his head. Lumen wrinkled her nose. "You have?" "Yeah, people sent all kinds of things in care packages. There were always a few romance books in the bins for us to pick through. I figured you always see women sitting by pools, relaxing and reading one. Maybe that's what I need?" "You seriously read one?" she asked. "I read...a dozen? They gave me too much anxiety. Too much will-they-won't-they, back-and-forth business. Too personal, too high stakes, too real for me to actually relax and read."

I love him so much . We may argue but it won't change the fact that he is still the same man I love . The same man I chose . I had a choice to choose between Dylan and Kingston but I chose Kingston and not once did I ever regret my decision . Loving him was fate and I was not forced to love him . I guess you can't force love and if you are meant to be , you are meant to be and nothing can come in between the love we have for each other now . I guess our love story was an ever after since our love prevailed over temptations .

I’m damn proud of it, and I’m glad I didn’t give up after the first fail. I’ve discovered that I get into those fantasy stories where one person knows who his or her soul mate is upon meeting them, or even before that, as what happened in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, A Kinda Fairy Tale series by Cassandra Gannon, and many of the shifter books by Eve Langlais that I have loved so much. So that’s where I came up with the Love Mark idea.

Even so, the whole process feels like a battle, and I am already exhausted by the time I have the books in my hands. I still read romantic novels. There is something comforting about them, even if some of the stories hit a little too close to home. Some of the plots are eerily similar to my own life, while others are pure escapism—beautiful, heartwarming tales from start to finish. Sure, the characters face hardships and tribulations, but what always stands out to me is the love and trust between the couples. It is the kind of love that feels unshakable, the kind I used to dream about. Now, I am not so sure if that kind of love exists for me anymore.

And not just any romance—dark romance, enemies-to-lovers, mafia romance, arranged marriage, all the subgenres I devoured in private. "This is our most popular section," Edward said, noticing my reaction. "Romance readers are loyal. And they buy a lot of books." "I can see that." Next to it was fantasy. Then a section labeled "Romantasy" that made my heart skip. Sarah J. Maas. Jennifer L. Armentrout. Rebecca Yarros. All my favorites, beautifully displayed. "You read?" Edward asked. "Yeah. A lot, actually." "What genres?" "These, mostly." I gestured to the romance and fantasy sections. "Dark romance. Romantasy. Anything with morally gray characters and impossible love stories."

I whisper not wanting to disturb other people in the store "Jane Austin again!" Lexi laughs. "look she kinda ruled the classics era, you know," I say with a shrug. I take a look at the books Lexi was caressing a minute back." any good read in the modern romance?" I point at the books assembled in the rack right in front of her. "oh yeah, I am a big collen hover fan. I mean verity and ugly love are my favorites of all," she reaches for a book and hands it over to me.
