I melted into his touch and was thankful that his arms were around me because if it weren't for that, I would have fallen long before. He was being so gentle that it surprised me. His lips were wet and salty with my tears and he tasted sweet, like chocolate and mint-it was driving me crazy. My hands found their way into his hair, tangling in his dark locks, and I couldn't believe I had previously insulted his shampoo. I couldn't get enough. When we pulled away, only enough to look at each other, our chests rising and falling in a rhythm, I didn't know whether it had been seconds, or hours. Time and words were a foreign thing in this newfound world.

But my mommy makes all-natural fragrances.” She searched for something from the paper bag and took the sample bottles out of the bag.

Maybe he’s the one I’m craving for, but I still don’t like his cologne; I don’t like lavender, it’s annoying, it’s nauseating. He also changed all the soaps, shampoo, even his detergent powders, fabric conditioners, and his perfume. He didn’t throw them away; he just set them aside. He’s sure that I’ll look for them after I give birth, which is partly true. Lavender has always been my favorite scent. Since I couldn’t choose a place to eat, he looked for one. We arrived at a seafood restaurant, then I realized something, he is allergic to seafood, what is he thinking?

"What's wrong? You don't look so good." I pointed toward Winona. "Her perfume is too strong." Winona immediately covered her wrist, guilt written all over her face. "I'm so sorry, Tessa. I forgot you're allergic to gardenia. I made a point not to spray any before coming out. It must just be a tiny bit lingering on my clothes." A tiny bit? It felt more like she bathed in it. And sure enough, Jason said, "It's just a little scent. Don't be so sensitive, Tessa. Winona hardly ever comes over."

Raven blurted out, carefully observing every ounce of color draining from Katie's face. Her friend stared back at her in shock, wide-eyed. Clearly, Katie hadn't expected Raven to know what the flower truly was. A prolonged silence hung in the air as both Raven and Katie locked eyes, and in that moment, Raven sensed that Katie was aware of what Allicin represented. It was the same substance that had caused Lumiére to have a strong reaction, was he allergic to the smell?. "That's right." Flowers weren't her allergens, so they don't cause attacks. In fact, Jaylene had been seeking medical advice everywhere while the Saun family took care of her over the years. Her condition has improved greatly. Apart from a minor incident at last year's charity banquet, where she accidentally came into contact with an allergen, she had not had an attack in two to three years. I can admit that it was quite a remarkable moment. My gaze shifted to the small potted friends on her window, lilies. I’d gifted her one on her previous birthday. I always thought it was lively to have a plant around your house, they made me feel life sprout inside of me, mostly lilies, they say that they drive away bad luck. Yet all I could do was stare at how mesmerizing they were than touch them because of how allergic I was to them. “I love what you have done here.” I finally managed to say.

Lloyd pushed me away from him, holding onto his throat. I wasn't sure what was going on. That wasn't part of the script. We all watched in shock as he fell to the ground, his throat going red as he muttered, "Strawberry." That was when it hit me. It turned out he was allergic to strawberry, and that was the flavor of the lip gloss I had used. The ambulance came and took him away. And after that day, I never got to see Lloyd again. Talk about a dream kiss gone wrong.
