Later that night, there was a knock on my door and I could already guess who it was. “You can't stay in there forever, you have to eat something” I laid in the huge bed, staring at the ceiling, completely numb. I heard the sound of keys jingling. The door opened with a click. Lukas was carrying a tray of food “What do you want?” I asked dryly without looking at him. He dropped the tray on the bedside table. “I have urgent business to attend to at the pack. I won't be back until tomorrow” He waited for my response but received none.

She scanned the wide terrace and caught a glimpse of them near the palm-lined path to the pool — Eloise’s yellow sundress fluttering as Max carried Kyle on his shoulders, both of them laughing. Aurelia’s heart softened at the sight — and that’s when she felt a warm hand slide into hers. Lucas. He stood close behind her, his tall frame radiating quiet confidence. Dressed casually in a white shirt, open at the collar, and tailored beige shorts, he still managed to look disarmingly powerful. His dark hair ruffled slightly in the sea breeze, and when he leaned closer, the faint scent of his cologne — sandalwood and salt — enveloped her.

Lucas walked our way, which resembled a bounce on his tiptoes. His backward UT Dallas baseball hat held in all of his sandy blond hair but a bit that stuck out of the front. His swimmer body fit his clothes just right. Even if it was just a t-shirt and jeans, they always fit him perfectly, and he knew how to wear them.

Her response made it clear that something about my connection to the Moon Pack carried more weight than I realized. Curiosity bubbled inside me, but I kept my face neutral. I walked away from the bathroom, ignoring the dull ache in my muscles, and headed to the closet. The bath had done its job, soothing the worst of the pain. I pulled out an oversized hoodie and black pants that clearly weren’t my size, as they were almost falling down my waist when I got into them. “Now it makes sense why Lucian has you here,” Bethany finally said as I turned back toward her. I tied my hair up into a neat ponytail and walked over to sit at the edge of the bed.

At the entrance, Sky, Stella and Lucas were sitting on the very first bar waiting for them. “And you guys are finally here!” said Sky taking a deep sigh. Handsome Sky was wearing an ocean blue shirt which was matching to his ocean blue eyes well, with black a trouser and ocean midnight black color jacket. He intentionally kept the three button undone for the important purpose of seduction. “You took forever” said Lucas complaining but yet moving towards Elena for a hug. Lucas was wearing a purple colored jumper with black jeans. He accessorized his outfit with a silver Crescent Moon shaped pendant with a silver color chain.

“Big guys, black suits, and sunglasses?” Luca nodded, his hands tightening in the front of Williams’s shirt. “What are we going to do now?” The boy watched as the older boy pulled a back pack off his shoulder. He opened it and pulled out a black hoodie and a baseball cap. “Take off your uniform and put this on,” said Liam. While the younger changed, Liam kept his eyes on the men down the street. They were looking up and down the street having lost sight of Luca which was good as they didn’t notice when he was pulled into the alley.

The next morning felt different. Not because of something big but because of how normal it felt. The sky was clear for once, soft gold filtering through the windows. The city outside buzzed with early noise. But inside the penthouse, it was quiet. Still. Lucas was in the kitchen, barefoot, wearing one of Elias’s old hoodies he hadn’t meant to grab from the laundry basket but had worn anyway. It smelled like a faint memory. He didn’t realize he’d been holding the mug for too long until Elias came in, eyes sleepy, hair a mess.

3 I walked over to the hoodies and looked through a bunch of hoodies. Whenever I shop for hoodies I always want more than one, but I limit to just one because if I didn't I'd have a closet with JUST hoodies.5 I picked one out that was red with white letters that said " Lifeguard " on it and I knew I wanted this one. I found one in my size, thankfully, and put it on my arm. Me and Kylie then went to the hats and picked a hat for each of us.5
