Lucia Mendez Novelas Novels & Stories

Just the smell of ozone and unfinished responsibility lingering in the air. Selena stood there alone, blinking at the decaying altar while water from the storm began trickling across the stone floor like it was staging a coup. Her eye twitched. Her soul twitched. Her lower back twitched because she’d landed like a sack of wet laundry. God knew she tried. She recited every spell she vaguely remembered from internet rabbit holes. “Abracadabra,” “Leviosa”—not “Leviosar,” she corrected herself mid-prayer—and even, in desperation, “Escucha las palabras de las brujas, los secretos escondidos en la noche...” while raising her hands like she was in a soap opera for witches.

I’ve heard of expectant mothers feeling drained this early on. But she’s not in the bedroom, either - or in the walk-in and bathroom. In fact, it doesn’t look like she’s been home in a while. “What the fuck?!” I exclaim, pulling out my cell phone to call Ricky or Laz. Someone answers on the second ring and I exclaim, “Where the fuck is Lucia?!” There’s silence on the other end, then Ricky speaks. “She’s with your mother, boss. She wanted to take Mrs. V out for dinner; we’re at the restaurant now - La Cena.”

"I want to embrace the unknown and find the missing fragments of my history. But I also want to honor the love and care I have received from Leonor and Lester. Can we find a way to bring them with us, to bridge the gaps between these two worlds?" Lucian's face softened, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Elisa, we will do everything we can to make that happen. We will find a way to unite the threads of your past and present, to create a bridge of understanding and acceptance. Together, we will navigate this journey of rediscovery, honoring the connections that have shaped you." As his words washed over me, a sense of hope blossomed within my heart. The path ahead would not be easy,

“Can the devil have one day off, Luca, what are you doing in here.” “I heard you,” he said. “You were making noise.” “I had a bad dream. I’m fine. Goodnight now.” He didn’t leave. Julie stood carefully, excused herself with her eyes down, and slipped past him out the door. Luca watched her go and then looked back at me. “You’ve been going to the palace,” he said. “I’ve been to the palace once,” I said. “For your banquet. Which you brought me to.” “The temple,” he said. “You were at the temple and so was he.”

"The new girl, right? An omega? You shouldn’t even be here." I gave a dry laugh. "You don’t get to tell me where I belong." Madrid glanced back at her mother briefly and then said "When it’s time to kill, leave her for me. She’ll be my special treat." "If you touch Bella, I’m gonna kill you!" Luca said Madrid scoffed "You can’t even stand on your own." While Madrid was bantering with Luca, I noticed how Lucinda walked up to Velmira with a smile "Hello, sister," Lucinda said

“He only ever called me Bella. Never asked for a last name. But the way he said Mendoza… it wasn’t random.” I looked up, my breath coming in short gaps. “I’m just so tired of all this. This is so much worse than Chicago.” Lucia pulled me into her arms. I didn’t even realise I was crying until I felt the tears soak her jacket. “Hey. Listen to me.” She cupped my face. “Whatever happens, we figure it out together. Okay? You’re not alone in this.” I laughed, wet and broken. “I just lost my virginity to the man who wants my entire family dead.”

Leonardo voiced his confusion, prompting Lucia to shift her gaze nervously. The question struck her like a bolt of lightning. Why had she changed her mind so suddenly? However, that wasn't even the most important question at this moment. Furthermore, it wasn't Leonardo's concern. After Elena's departure from the house they once shared, Lucia felt compelled to clean up her room. It was during this process that she stumbled upon something resembling a diary—a diary Elena had asked about when she had lost it in the past. Driven by curiosity, Lucia couldn't resist the temptation to leaf through its pages, only to discover the most astonishing news. Elena harbored a deep-seated vendetta against t

But Lucia insisted not to concentrate on them anymore as she found them not important anymore. Lucia explained everything to Meredith regarding her adventures outside the campus. Meredith was happy to see her best friend experiencing the real world outside these walls. The excitement and sparkle in her eyes when she explained her trip made Meredith feel like watching a kid explaining her trip to a circus. From that day Lucia with help of Meredith and her boyfriend she used to sneak out of the campus and go to the same bank of the river she discovered that day with her sketchbook. She would sit there for hours just enjoying the relief provided by the change in environment and take in the surr

I opened it up and searched through it like I really needed something. I didn’t need anything. I just wanted to pass time. A few minutes in and I finally got hold of a box of pain meds. I took it out and read through the content. Miguel walked over to me and asked if I had gotten what I needed. “Yep…this is it” I replied with a smile. I closed the box back and lifted it to take it back to the storage room. But before I could leave I heard someone call for me. “Ms. Lucia?” I turned to look at who that was. It was Doctor Sanchez standing beside Alejandro.
