I can feel his cool mint breath against my skin, but before my lips can reach Malachi’s, Luca clears his throat bringing our attention back to him. My eyes shoot open as I let Malachi go and back away. “Dude really? I’m about to die and you can’t even let me have a kiss,” Malachi asks annoyed, also crossing his arms with annoyance. Luca simply glares at him. “Nope, sorry man. You would do the same if the roles were reversed,” he responded, walking towards me to take my hand and pull me onward. Malachi grabs my other hand and stops us. “What the hell are you doing?” Malachi growls deeply. “She was my love first, so technically you have no claim over her,” Luca snaps, pulling me back to him.

I even think he can read everyone’s mind without literally reading their thoughts.
