At least get changed and let me get you something warm to drink” Cassandra sighed as she sneered disdainfully at her bedraggled appearance. Lucy glowered at her back furiously, unable to protest as she allowed herself to be dragged to the guest house at the edge of the pack mansion. Noah would have made sure that she couldn’t return to the pack mansion, she had no choice but to follow Cassandra and try to find out just what exactly was going on.

She couldn't understand his motive, not fully. Backing away silently from the door, Lucy turned around, her steps no longer light but cautious. She would not tell Shaun about Elaine’s letter. Not now. Not when his mind was already clouded by whatever Jax was trying to weave. She returned to her room with a thousand thoughts racing through her mind. Sitting at her vanity, she examined the envelope as she tore through the seal and pulled the letter out. She stood up from her vanity and walked to the window to read it.

“As long as you drink this, you’ll be able to see your Kayla.” Lucy was confused. Why and how could she see Kayla after drinking this? Her mind was filled with doubt, but then she thought perhaps he meant that by the time she finished this bottle, he would be able to save Kayla from prison.
