I inserted the locket into the spaceship’s control panel. Instantly, a massive pillar of blue light shot out from Lucas’s body and rushed directly toward the chest of the Black Dragon leader.

And somehow— Lily was connected to all of them. The seventh window lit. The observatory lights exploded. Every projection shattered. The awakened network screamed. "MEMORY CASCADE DETECTED." Luke grabbed the nearest railing. The room vanished. The stars vanished. Everything vanished. And suddenly— He wasn't in the observatory anymore. He was standing in front of the lighthouse. The real Lighthouse. It's impossible height stretching beyond reality. Its stone walls are older than existence. Its glowing windows stare down like eyes. The air felt wrong.

I feel like burying myself into the blanket and never coming out again. Trying to push myself up, I flinch at the pain still shooting through my body. It’s the same moment that Jax, including two other people, come barging into the room. A knock would have been nice, I think to myself as I shriek a little at the sudden entering. “Lie down,” Jax orders with a slight scowl on his face. “You’re not ready yet,” he adds a little softer. “I’m Trevor. How are you feeling today, my Luna?” An elderly man with soft voice speaks up. By his attire, I can tell he’s the healer of this pack. My thoughts automatically drift to John and Sybil. It's funny how this man reminds me of John.
