The Rose Luna
The nurse stopped when she saw me, her expression lighting up with recognition.
“Good evening, Luna,” she said brightly, her tone warm and respectful.
But her words barely registered. My eyes were locked on the small form in the stroller. My child. My daughter. Aurora.
She was so tiny, wrapped snugly in a soft blanket, her small chest rising and falling with the rhythm of sleep. For a moment, I thought that was all I would see of her, but then, as if she could sense me, her eyelids fluttered open. Gray eyes stared up at me, wide and curious.
