Brenda’s POV “Father, please don’t leave me! I’ll do better, I promise! Please don’t send me to Alpha Aaron. He’s a monster!” My voice kept echoing in my head. I pleaded with my father desperately not to give me away, but it meant nothing to him. And now, I stand in a bathroom filled with strangers as I get myself prepared for my doom. The bathroom smelled sweetly of roses and honey. It looked like a place made for a Luna.

I was at the coffee machine, trying to make coffee when a few ladies walked past me. “Foodie…” “She looks like an ape…” “Did you see her running today? Was pathetic” Their words were hurtful but it didn’t get to me. The weekend went by fast but not before my dreams were filled with Emilio. And they weren't exactly the PG-13 type of dream you'd imagine them to be. I sighed getting up to get ready for school. She hated being ordered around, especially not by me, but if I wanted to remain unrecognized, then it had to be this way. “The rumors are true,” the man on the podium went on, “He has demons living inside of him, he is no longer the leader we choose, he is a demon possessed!” the man screamed and some nodded in agreement, this only fueled him on. “The Luna was a good woman, her love for the pack was genuine. I saw the way she cared for our little ones, she never had a child of her own, but she loved them like they were hers; she devoted her time to help them get better education, she contributed to their wellness—she was a goddamned angel.” I almost snorted at that.

And if I can’t have you, no one will. But Kael was wrong. She wasn’t his. She had never been. And as she closed her eyes, a new determination took root. He had tried to destroy her, but he had only awakened her. The Luna’s revenge would not be whispered in the shadows; it would be roared from the mountaintops. And she would not be alone.

Cassien's voice made me snap my eyes open and saw both of them hovering over me, still naked. “What happened to me?” I asked in confusion as I sat up. “Your wolf is back,” Lucien said with an awkward smile and I heard Kira, my wolf purr in agreement. “That's not it,” I insisted. “Lyra,” Cassien started. “Your Luna power awakened during your orgasm and the force threw us away,” He said. “It also overpowered your body and almost made you unconscious,” He added. “I didn't hurt you guys right?” I asked in fear but he chuckled lightly before flicking his fingers on my forehead.

Not even Connor had ever used his aura so forcefully against her. “I am the Luna,” Selene says coldly, her voice sharper than ever, “and while my mate is unconscious, I am the highest authority in this pack. Everyone, including you, Mrs. Carlaaaaa…” She deliberately drags out the syllables, mocking her. “…will obey me. If not, I’ll have you thrown into the dungeon. And as for you”, she turns and points at Inés, “step foot in this pack one more time, and I’ll rip your head off along with anyone who dares help you.” A collective gasp ripples through the crowd gathered nearby.

The demon shrieked as the flames consumed it, burning it to ash in seconds. I directed the fire downward, into that black hole, sealing it shut with heat that would have melted steel.
