She’s nothing but trouble, and you know it.” “That’s enough, Lydia,” Dylan said, his tone cold and final. Lydia froze, her expression hardening. She looked at me, her eyes blazing with something between hatred and jealousy. “Fine,” she spat. “But when this blows up in your face, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

She was pale in the dimness, dark hair falling over one shoulder, her face too elegant and too haunted to belong to a ghost. Her gown was travel-worn, not royal. Her eyes were fixed entirely on Logan. He had gone motionless beside Lydia. “Mother,” he said. The word barely existed. The woman crossed the room in three swift steps.

She was happy, truly, truly happy, and she wanted nothing more than to share that happiness with the world. The article she’d planned had a rough outline that more closely resembled a book, and she had no doubt that, with her connections, she could get it into the right hands. After she was finished with that project, she thought happily that she might start another- something light hearted and whimsical, a fantasy or an epic journey of sorts. She was tired of the dark. Lydia Daven was finally ready for some light.

Nathan said, his voice growing more insistent, more hostile by the second. "Mr. Davis," Gerard replied calmly but firmly, his arms crossed in front of him, "Ms. Lydia is resting after her flight. She doesn’t want to be disturbed." Nathan’s face twisted into a sneer, his eyes darkening. "She’ll want to see me," he insisted, taking a step closer to Gerard, "Let me in. Now."

Claire said to Henry and he smiled. “Where are you going?” Henry asked. “My boss.... “ “Dont answer that.” Claire cut her off and turned to Henry. “You are too inquisitive, you can go.” “Thanks, bye.” Lydia said and hugged Claire, she hugged Henry and pecked his forehead. “Just be careful.” “Sure, I will.” Lydia walked out of the ward and Henry sighed. “Why are you always like that?” “Cause Lydia isn't someone who works hard on a normal day, Lydia is lazy, she likes clubbing and having fun, she loves going on vacations and work less. I just feel bad she gave up all her life for me to be safe, happy and alive.”
