Falling For My Husband's Doctor

Falling For My Husband's Doctor

Lydia rested a hand unconsciously against her stomach. "Our beginning." Daniel followed the movement of her hand. A warm smile spread across his face. "Our family." Lydia nodded softly. "Our family." ---- The hotel room was quiet. Almost painfully so. Eva sat cross-legged on the edge of the bed, absentmindedly flipping through television channels she wasn't really watching. Nothing held her attention. Nothing had for days. The divorce papers rested inside the drawer of the bedside table. She had shoved them in there the previous night, unable to bear looking at them any longer.

The Untamed Agent

The Untamed Agent

Zakael sat on the edge of my bed. "Will you join me? I don’t think I can sleep alone tonight." I mumbled, slightly embarrassed. There are just too many things going on in my mind right now, and the last two things I want to think about before going to bed are the bloody scene I caused at 9th Street and the bastard who killed my father. Ruby will kill me if she finds out I caused a bloody mess again. The agency didn’t like me like that: violent, mad, and out of control. Even the agency can’t control Azalia Davis; no one ever can. The Exodus Agency knew that I was batshit crazy and simply deranged. However, despite that huge flaw, they wanted me on their side. Why? Because I’m an asset. Azalia

“But I know you’ll prove them wrong mama. You always do.” Lydia inhaled deeply, wiping her face off and wiling the tears to stop. “I brought a new book for us to read. It’s one of my favorites.” Lydia said pulling a book out of her bag. “It’s Hybrid Aria, by Jessica Hall. This is the novel has been in print. I’ve read it multiple times online though. I remember how we use to nerd out over Twilight and I thought we could nerd out over this series together too.” Lydia made herself comfortable on the chair beside her mom’s bed as she started to read the book. She’d just finished the chapter where Aria had first met Reid in the Cafe, when her phone alarm went off.

Too Late To Love Me: I Already Left With His Twins

Lydia POV So after spending just three hours of sleep because I spent most of the night thinking about how to prevent that damned Dave from taking my kids from me I woke up… tired but sharp No, I’m not annoyed at Dave anymore Well… scrap that I just don’t care about him anymore That’s better Or at least that’s what I’m telling myself Okayy work calls I got up, did my usual skincare routine slow, steady, familiar something I can control Then I stood in front of my wardrobe for a second longer than usual Not because I didn’t know what to wear but because I needed to feel like myself again I settled for a cream and wine dress and trouser combo clean sharp effortless White heels White bag I look

Honestly, I really liked the first few chapters of the book, but it seems like writers changed from somewhere around chapter 10? The writing style and thought pattern changed so drastically and it just wasn't as captivating as it was at first, so I had to drop it.

Leading My Family to Glory

Leading My Family to Glory

Lydia took a deep breath and said, “If you two are willing to believe me, you can give me the books. I have a method to make Ulricus fail to break through. When he fails, Tyr can continue to use the books to fulfill his quest to become a God.” “That’s impossible!” Xavion didn’t hesitate to reject Lydia right away. “Aunt Lydia, you want Tyr to hand over the books to you? That;s impossible!” “So, you still don’t believe me?” Lydia looked at Xavion intently. A trace of disappointment appeared in her eyes. “Xavion, you always wanted me to remember everything and reunite with Tyr. Now, I’ve remembered that I'm Lydia, but why are you still suspicious of me?”

The Divorce Diaries

The Divorce Diaries

"Just chilling. Thought maybe I could help." I smiled, genuinely thankful, and gently pushed the door open. Laughter spilled out from inside. "Man, only you could've pulled that off, Clement. Leaving Faye stranded in Svalmere—bet she cried her eyes out." "So, when are you bringing her back?" I gripped the door handle tighter when I heard Clement's slow, relaxed drawl. "What's the rush? I'll bring her back when she learns her lesson. You guys won't believe this—she actually emailed me a divorce agreement the other day. Said she wanted to 'end things'. I almost died laughing. It's obviously a bluff.

His Wife On Paper

His Wife On Paper

I looked at Lydia and saw a predator who had already tasted my blood and wanted more. "One hundred thousand," I whispered. "To start," Lydia corrected. "And you’ll go away? You’ll stay away from Ezra?" Lydia’s face softened for a fraction of a second at the mention of my son, but it was a cold softness. "The boy is a Donovan, whether you like it or not. But yes. Give me the money, and I will vanish back to Europe." I looked out at the park. Every direction I looked, there was a trap. Elijah was a cage. Kian was a fire. And Lydia was the poison in the water.

game way too far...but that won't is long.Thinking of something Lidia let out a smirk and walked out of the villa, quietly.Katrina went straight to Alexandra where she saw Darby was already present."Come on, Alexandra. Get out now," she said hurriedly."Why? What is it?" Alexandra asked unaware."Come out, now. The book you are protecting is of no use."Darby was quiet and just listening to what they were talking about.Lidia came from behind and shouted, "Oh, so this bitch is here.""What is it with you two that both of you have their eyes on rich and handsome vampires of the history?""Lidia!" Darby yelled out, in order to make his sister quiet."Keep quiet, brother. You can't shut me up now. Tr

The Alpha's Fated Kiss

The Alpha's Fated Kiss

“Tell me you didn’t—” Her eyes flashed. “Didn’t what? Leak our private life? Of course not.” “Then who the hell did?” I demanded. “You think this is coincidence? Someone wanted to destroy both of us.” “Lydia,” she whispered. I froze. Her voice was low, deliberate. “She had access, Damian. She’s smart, and she had motive.” My mind raced. Lydia — the woman who once laughed at my worst jokes, who made me believe love could soften ambition — could she really be behind this?

Making My Ex-Husband Crawl

Making My Ex-Husband Crawl

Valerie's POV The confirmation came from Marcus at eight in the morning. Three lines. Lydia had accessed a personal savings account held in her name only, separate from the frozen joint assets. I read it twice. Then I put the phone on the kitchen counter and looked at it. Dante came in from the other room. He looked at my face. "What happened?" "It is confirmed," I said. "Lydia took the last personal account. She is in Dubai." He was quiet for a moment. "How do you feel about that?"

Frequently Asked Questions

Readers often rave about Lydia Davis’s unique style and the brevity of her prose. It’s refreshing to see such concise storytelling that really gets to the heart of emotions and observations. I’ve had friends note how her collection 'The End of the Story' masterfully weaves together thoughts, diary entries, and anecdotes. They appreciate how each piece feels like a little gem, offering something profound in just a handful of words. There’s a surreal quality in her storytelling that makes you stop and reflect. One friend mentioned how each paragraph left them pondering the nature of memory and narrative. It’s almost like reading poetry disguised as stories.

Also, her exploration of everyday life in 'Varieties of Disturbance' has sparked some interesting discussions among book clubs. Many readers love how Davis can elevate the mundane to the extraordinary, which often resonates strongly with their own experiences. I found it interesting that while some readers feel her style is minimalist, others argue it invites a deeper engagement with the text, prompting them to finish stories yet hold onto the emotions long after.
