The Alpha's Beta
I could practically hear the grimace coming from her seeing all the scars and wounds on my back.
Eva lightly patted the last wound she attended before she slowly stood on her feet and instructed me to finish the porridge. I only nodded, watching her back retreating to the door until it disappeared.
A sigh left me. I let my head lean to the wall, eyes traveling to the view outside the window. The moon shines bright as the night falls, reminding me back to the night all of this started.

“A Beta. She is a Beta.” The smile on mom’s face dropped instantly. She shook her head, disbelieving it to be the truth.
