‘She doesn't want to talk about anything anyway. Raven pressed a mug of hot herbal tea into her hands and exchanged a glance of understanding with Omem, she saw. ‘Shall I come with you?’ Raven bit into a poppy seed bun with cheese and looked questioningly. Maddie nodded with relief. 'Yes please.' Raaf and Maddie were together in the local bus on their way to the town where Maddie's mother, Gonnie had lived since the divorce. Maddie's eyes stared into nowhere. ‘We could have taken a shorter route, too,’ Raven whispered in her ear.

Once again, in her enthusiasm to help, she had forgotten to make sure her surroundings were safe. For example, by locking the doors. She sighed. ‘Annoying brats,’ Buddy grumbled. ‘Bet that during the presentation, they also think they can just use our info. Well, I don't think so!’ Maddie laughed at his indignation. ‘Then they'll show the ghost movie,’ he said with a grin. Maddie looked at her watch. She knew she would have to wait a while before she got home. She couldn't wait to see Raven again.

Lucien smirked as he yanked Buzz-cut away. I looked up and yeah, everyone was on their phones snapping and recording. “Eeeeeesh,” I groaned and Zane just buried his face in my neck laughing and sniffing me.

MR CEO NEXT DOOR “what is my schedule for tomorrow?” I asked not taking off my shades and my icy glare still on my face, “you have an appointment with a producer for a new movie and a meeting for an endorsement.” I sighed, “clear both, I am not going anywhere tomorrow.”

I went up to my room to change, a pair of clothes I'd bought at a thrift store so I could look for a job folded on top of the desk, ready to be put on, I put them on and ran downstairs, feeling more and more hopeful. Bob explained to me on the way about the company his daughter worked for, and this made me very excited. It was a very famous cosmetics company, Make-Pró. It was a new brand, about five years old, but it was highly promising, many bloggers were talking about it, and I had her entire collection of lipsticks in my purse, which was cowardly stolen as soon as we arrived at the house Bob had given us in the Bronx.

Kate murmurs embarrassed for causing another issue with Maddie. It will be resolved in a couple days,” I reply to her. “I remember them spraying something on me,” she says suddenly. This is new information. “What did it smell like?” I ask her. “Nothing; it smelled like nothing,” she says muttering to herself.

It was Maddie. My eyes were glued to that small window. Maddie was kissing some surfer dude. She was sitting on his lap, and her bare thighs were rubbing against him. He slid his hands under her shirt and in one swift move, her shirt was flying off to the floor. She let out a soft moan and tipped her head back as he started kissing her neck. With one hand, he unhooked her bra, and she let it fall to the ground. The guy moved to bury his face between her breasts, and she arched herself closer to him, still a moaning mess. He started kissing her breasts, and that was when I lost it. I couldn’t watch anymore.

I have to know the truth. “My mummy is also with Mason in his room,” Maddie tells me as we wait for the elevator doors to open. She looks up at me, her eyes sparkling. “She has been staying there all night and she is very tired, but she will be very happy to see you. She likes heroes.” Happy to see me? She must be sad… and angry.
