“Will you still breach my den, though? I have a hunger to talk to you.” There was another pause, but this time, Maddie could swear she caught a high-pitched female laugh in the background. She didn't have to track the scent twice. “I’m in the thick of a parley right now, and I cannot break away. Give me a couple of hours and I’ll be at your gates.” The hunt was falling apart. “Whenever you are free of your burdens.” “I vow, we will speak as soon as I can clear the trail. And hopefully, I will have glorious news for you. I’ll track you later, baby.”

“Lewis?” Maddie gasped, hope fluttering in her chest to hear his voice, but it died just as quick as it rose as she shuffled towards him. The sharp tang of blood surrounded her Beta, cutting through the thick, salty air. There was a sizzle of flesh as she moved closer, turning her stomach but she swallowed against the bile that threatened to rise. She could only see his silhouette shadowed against the stone wall but kept her eyes on him, waiting for them to adjust to the dim lighting. She edged closer.

Marina repeated the gesture she did earlier so Maddie copied her. “Who are you with? Is your family here or friends?” Maddie looked around but she couldn't see anyone but the busy servants and guards roaming around. “I am here alone but my home is just near. I can introduce you to my family and friends.” A wide smile escaped Maddie’s lips as she nodded quickly. Marina giggled at her reaction. “Finally! I get to meet other people.” Maddie exclaimed before linking her arm around Marina’s. She smiled shyly at their sudden closeness but nevertheless, Marina didn’t remove Maddie’s arm.

We drifted around the corner and onto the main street. "Mommy, the wolves are chasing us," Maddie said softly, and I patted her knee atop mine. She turned from the back window to look at me, her eyes wide. "Don't look back, Maddie. Just keep facing the front. You have to help me find a place that sells chicken nuggets, remember?" I knew her excitement for them was gone, but I was hoping she would stay distracted long enough for us to get away from the hunting party behind us.

We were ready to close, walking as many people out as we could and wiping down any surface. "I like it when you get your tits out," Maddie said. I pulled my eyebrows together unsure of what she means by that. "We get more tips when you do," She said, and I laughed. "I don't have a lot to get out," I noted. "You have more than me," she stated back. She was right of course. Besides a slight little bump, her chest would be considered flat. "Can I ask you something," I said to Maddie. "Sure," she said and waited.

“Come now, you should stop looking at her,” Andrew said as he looked over towards his friend who laid down with his back on the ground. Shane spit out a mouthful of blood and laughed. “I guess you can only take advantage when I am distracted. You still cannot beat me fair and square,” Shane retorted. He dusted himself off and stood up to take a better look at Andrew’s neighbour. Maddison Grey, or Maddie as people knew her, was just exiting a truck that was driven by one of the most popular boys at school. She got off and kiss Caen, on the lips. The buff boy smiled from ear to ear as he thoroughly enjoyed the kiss.

Later that day! “You called me all the way here. I don't mind Jhonia and I'm also very happy with the fact that we have grown closer than before but did you call me here, so you could lay there and smile crazily at me?” Madiea said to her, looking at Jhonia confusingly as to why she's even this happy after yesterday and catching Nearce cheating on her, she then asked her.

I decided on jean shorts, with a white tank top, and a cardigan. We still had some time to kill so I went to Suzy’s to pick up so burgers and fries for a quick meal. Jade and Maddie showed up as we finished eating and Maddie looks like she’s glowing. Though she looks extremely excited, I couldn't help but notice she kept scratching herself like she had an itch. “What’s wrong, Mads?” I ask, wondering if maybe her nerves are finally getting the best of her. “I feel itchy. It feels like Blaire is scratching her way through the surface.“ Maddie answered. I looked at the clock and saw we only have a half hour until midnight.

Meanwhile, Maddie returned home to the Crowther mansion. Matilda, who had been waiting for her all along, greeted the latter as soon as she came back. “You're back!, Maddie. Why are you so late? You didn't make it back in time for dinner”. Maddie leaned against her mother's arm and said. “ I went out to the city mall for a coffee date with my friend. Then I ran into a friend of mine, Ariana; You mentioned that you liked her series, so I asked her for a meeting”.

This time, it traveled quite a distance, dropping down into the exact area she’d aimed for. “There!” Maddie exclaimed, pleased with herself. “Now, we wait.” *** Mason’s line had been in the water all of five minutes when he’d heard distant laughter pealing to his right. He whipped his head that direction and could make out his neighbor at the end of the dock. Looks like she’s reeling back in, he noticed. Wonder what was so funny. He watched her cast, and his eyebrows raised. Pretty damn good throw. And he could tell she was pleased with it too, the way she pumped a fist in the air. He grinned as he watched her, caught up in her joy.
