Maddie Nears Novels & Stories

I long to be with Maddie and have her be my best friend once again. I need to figure out what to do now. I know they will begin to put camera recognition on both Maddie and her human companion. Them being picked up on her highway cam will tell us what area they are in and then it’s only a matter of time until we find them. Maddie grew up in a human orphanage. I wonder if she still remembers her training and what to do. We were trained to survive and hunt. Maybe I am underestimating her. Can I keep Z away from her? Can I keep her safe as she once did for me?

Sadie calmly greeted Maddie. When someone was about to commit an unlawful act, they became particularly sensitive and nervous. Maddie stared intently at Sadie. Sadie had always been around Maisie. She wouldn't deliberately eavesdrop on her conversation, would she? Did she hear everything she said? That could ruin her plan. Damn it! Maddie clenched her phone tightly. As she brushed past Sadie, she suddenly turned back and stopped her. "Dr. Sadie," Maddie called out.

Maddy's voice was sad. "Yeah, I know," I say. We go inside and Maddy starts getting her stuff ready to head back to her house. The weekend was over and tomorrow starts the new week of everyday boring. She hangs out a little while longer and we decide to watch a movie while we wind down from the day, and I wait for Dane to call, it's taking him longer than usual to get home. We assume Ant stopped for beer or something after his supposed near-death experience. We are halfway through the movie when my phone rings, it's Dane.

~Jake~ Morning comes, and Sarah's energy is back in full force. She drags us out for brunch at a little café downtown, talking nonstop about family time and how we need to plan a weekend getaway. Maddie seems... distant through it all. Quiet smiles, but her eyes are elsewhere. By afternoon, back home, she's on her phone, texting someone furiously. Sarah notices, leaning over the couch. "Who's that, sweetie? You look so engrossed."

She was so high and walking around. “Ahhh, I need to go to the Eiffel Tower. I must meet the one for me. Hek!” She said to herself. She was so red because of being so high. She reached the Eiffel Tower area. “Oh, what’s so beautiful about this?” She said while looking at it. “Where is my true love? Where is the one for me?” She walked around but then… “Hey, are you that popular actress, Maddie?” Someone approached her and the guy looked like a gangster. Maddie’s eyes squinted and she couldn’t see him properly.

“And somehow that's not even the craziest part.” The fire crackled between us while voices drifted from nearby campsites, mixing with distant guitar music and the occasional burst of laughter from people who were clearly having a much simpler weekend than either of us. “The next day was even worse,” Maddie continued. “I had just finished shooting and walked out of the studio feeling exhausted, only to discover him sitting on the hood of my car like he was filming some low-budget coming-of-age movie.” “Oh no.” “Oh yes.” She pointed dramatically toward the trees.

Then her dad had smiled and released the both of them. Right now, Maddie was sitting on the windowsill at the back of the house, airpods in her ear, listening to Aurora's Runaway. The window overlooked the bed of flowers at the back, and more distantly, the whole New York view. It was night time already and the whole city had come to life before her eyes. Lights shone from every corner of the city: lights that mirrored the ones that shone in the way of stars above.

“They had to put eight staples on her arm.” “Goddess.” “It wasn’t bad though. I already had Kai then and they healed fairly quickly.” I tried to lighten the mood but bother Ty and Logan are stewing. “Yeah. Then there was the shift.” “Fuck. Can we not talk about that. I can’t ever get that memory out of my head.” Maddie came down and flopped onto one of the chairs. She was wearing a vibrant pink dress. Obviously voting for team niece. She would be disappointed.

Everything sucks. “What’s with the sad face, boy?” Maddie announced her entrance with a loud smack of her gum and the heady scent of her cologne. Sawyer turned around to face her Just as Maddie hopped on the counter, swinging her legs. For someone slim and 5’9, she had pretty long legs. She pried the paper and straightened it, her black eyes roaming over the neatly-typed words on the page, the skin of her forehead pressed together in concentration. “Oh. My. God. This is bad news.”

, Maddie had said to me and Anne, excitedly when Phil informed her of his parent's departure. Maddie's five minutes extend to almost an hour, and after she's satisfied with her look, we leave her house. She decides to drive her blue Rolls-Royce, saying it's perfect for a night like this. She drops me off at the path leading to the meadow. I start my journey, wondering if Jayden is already there if he had left thinking I wasn't coming, or if he had come at all. I hadn't replied to his text earlier. The night is quiet and bright, with the moonlight bathing my paths. It might have been a very beautiful night to me if only I didn't have to worry about Jayden’s departure or the fact that he kille
