The Space Between Pines

The Space Between Pines

Noah said. "Cylinder glass. Hand-blown, late nineteenth century. You can't reproduce it exactly. The best you can do is source antique glass for the reproduction sashes." He was close to the window, looking at the light moving through it. "I've found a supplier in Portland. They have a salvage stock." "That'll be expensive."

The Glass Rose

The Glass Rose

Matteo’s POV The static in my ears was turning into a series of sharp, rhythmic pulses that made the air feel like it was vibrating against my skin, and every time I blinked the colors of the room shifted until the shadows looked like deep purple bruises and the light from the monitors was a blinding, electric blue. My eyes felt tight and itchy in their sockets and when I caught my reflection in a dark screen I saw that the brown of my iris had vanished completely and was replaced by a glowing, unnatural sapphire color that didn't look human anymore.

Shadows and First Blood

Shadows and First Blood

Jay crossed to the window without drawing the curtain and breathed once like a man measuring oxygen in a burning room. “We start now,” he said. Maeve unwrapped the oilskin fully and lifted the thread, the river-stones, a twist of dried heather. She spoke in a language that tasted like peat smoke and court oaths. The air tightened; the apartment’s lights hummed. When she pinched the final knot closed, the room exhaled in a way my blood recognized: the sensation of vanishing from a gaze that did not deserve you. “It’ll fuzz their watchers,” she said. “Not blind. Blunt. Make your hours count.”

Alphas Human Mate mission

Alphas Human Mate mission

Ben asked as he walked back to where Gemma and Nait stood “The glass podium has always been a sign of when someone from the ruling house of Fae is near. No matter where they are, it becomes available. Glass is pure, it is clear and hold powerful properties. The grander the glass podium, the more powerful the Fae” Max walked over to Gemma and took her into his arms, kissing her as he pulled her closer to him. Ben groaned in annoyance and walked over to Maddie, burying his face in her neck as she hooted at them. Gemma blushed and broke the kiss as Max whispered what he couldn’t wait to do to her once back in their dorm. “Just make sure that after tomorrow, you are well rested Gemma” Nait said

The Declined Card: My Ex-husband is now My Guarddog

The Declined Card: My Ex-husband is now My Guarddog

The heavy marble door of the isolated powder room clicked shut behind Maeva, cutting off the distant, muffled classical music of the gala. The room was a pristine sanctuary of white Carrara marble, smelling faintly of lavender and fresh water. She stood before the grand vanity mirror, looking at the dark red stain of Zane's wine stretching across the front of her white silk gown. It looked like a blooming, bloody chest wound, but Maeva's face remained calm. She reached for a damp paper towel, intending to dab the liquid before it set.

Alpha Julius

Alpha Julius

It was almost therapeutic to work at my own pace, polishing glasses and bottles as chaos ensued around me. With all the ‘volunteers’ Maeve had recruited, the place was ready within hours. I marveled at how quickly it had come together, and how beautifully it had been designed. Maeve’s family had spared no expense, decking out the dining areas with travertine tables and lining the floors with tiles that resembled the white sand of Greece’s beaches. The bar was made of rose quartz which dazzled underneath the dim lighting, surrounded by rows and rows of mirrored shelves consisting of more luxurious bottles of liquor than I had ever seen in my life. I felt as though I was standing in some kind

The Wolfless Runaway Princess In An Alpha Academy

The Wolfless Runaway Princess In An Alpha Academy

His posture went completely rigid, and his blue eyes turned as sharp as shards of ice. "I did not slip into this suite merely to admire your disguise, Princess," Maeve said, his voice dropping into a low, quiet tone. He reached into his dark coat and produced a tiny, glowing black glass vial. He placed it carefully on the edge of the desk. "I came with a task." I stared at the dark fluid inside the glass. "What is that?"

THE ALPHA WHO HATED ME

THE ALPHA WHO HATED ME

"This isn't just about finding a hidden door. The gate responds only to Nightbane blood, and only when the bloodline is in mortal danger." "What kind of danger?" "The kind that kills you if you're wrong." I pulled free of her grip and stood up. The lightning scars pulsed brighter as my emotions rose. "Then I better not be wrong." "Wait." Maeve disappeared into her storage room again, returning with a small glass vial filled with silver liquid. "If you're determined to do this foolish thing, at least take protection." I took the vial, studying the swirling contents. "What is it?"

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

I wanted to get there first. *** "What do you mean you're leaving?" Maeve took the glass of sparkling water from her lips, her blonde brows knitted in a frown. "It's not forever. I'll be back tomorrow night." "What is this errand Ernest has you going on?" She sipped her drink, her full, pink lips lingering on the glass a moment.

I adore this series. I had the privilege to read it a couple years ago on a different platform. It’s incredibly detailed with mostly likeable characters. Plus you get to follow the journey as they grow and develop over several stories. It’s well worth the time invested!

The order of the book is a little confusing, started out with a story about Ethan and Rosalie and mid way through it's like the story has jumped back to were the beginning should be. I love the story but this kinda has me scratching my head .

Divorced My CEO Husband, He Came Begging

Divorced My CEO Husband, He Came Begging

I peeled away the brittle tape, the sound unnaturally loud in the basement's stillness. The hinges protested as I opened the lid. Inside was a manila envelope, discolored with age, and on top of it, a single glass bead—larger than the ones I usually made, its surface an intricate swirl of deep blue and green. I recognized the pattern immediately. I'd been trying to recreate it for years, never quite getting it right. I picked it up, held it to the light. Inside the glass, almost invisible unless you knew to look for it, was the tiny stylized "LV"

The book is insanely interesting. At first, it starts like all the other novels of this genre, but quickly deviates from the clichés by being actually true to reality in terms of abusers and their behavior. The author also brilliantly addresses the reality of the "savior" trope. It's refreshing af

Totally riveting!!! Fully developed characters and unexpected plot twists with satisfying resolutions. l love that the main characters are not perfect. They are flawed despite their wealth and power which makes the novel realistic. I hate that it has to end. I'm reading the last 2 chapters tonight.
