With the drought going around the country and most of Europe, it was a surprise that these people could still be so merry. ………………………… With a wide smile, Lena strolled over to the bar. Her steps were light.....almost playful with a dangerous kind of happiness radiating off her. She reached out and ran her fingers across the collection of expensive wines, her nails lightly tapping the bottles as she searched. Then her hand paused. A dark crimson label caught her eye: “La Vengeance Noire.” She smirked. Perfect. Gently, she uncorked the bottle, the faint pop echoing in the quiet room. With the same grin still painted on her lips, she poured the wine slowly into a crystal glass, watching the rich red swirl inside.

The two vampires walked out to the hall and were met by an otherworldly scene. The once red interior was replaced with light gray linens that looked silver in the gentle glow of the candles scattered on every surface. The halls were lined with standing floral arrangements of white lilies and blue roses. White curtains hung at both ends of the hall and blocked any onlookers from peaking in. In the center of the hall, a table had been set up with bottles of blood, blood wine, and glasses.

That's refreshing. He moved to a side table where wine had been laid out. With a wave of his hand, dark magic filled two glasses— one with deep red wine, one with something that glowed faintly silver. "Demon wine," he explained, offering the silver one to Elian. "Non-alcoholic, since I can feel through the bond that you're already anxious. It'll calm your nerves without clouding your judgment." Adrian hesitated, then took it. The gesture was unexpectedly thoughtful.

He nodded and disappeared from the room only to return moments later with what appeared to be a dark glass wine bottle in one hand and an amber colored glass in the other. I accepted the glass that he had filled for me and the smell immediately triggered the extension of my fangs, only this time it wasn't painful at all. I took a swig from the glass and let the coppery liquid slide down my throat feeling it soothe the sting from the hunger like an ointment.

The maid sped back and offered our respective drinks, then returned to her previous position. “We've been over this Vivanna, the people here are already uncomfortable with us, as vampires, being here.” She said then sipped her drink. I followed her cue and tasted the sweet thick liquid. It was a variation of the wine I had had in the estate. This one was deeper and bolder in terms of flavour with a peppery finish. Perhaps spiced wine? It warmed my body, and I felt the overwhelming urge to remove the cape from my dress and sink into the couch comfortably.

Aleister immediately did what he said. Roberto pours wine on another glass and gave it to Aleister. “Thank you.” They quietly sip their wines while starring at the sky. Few moments later, Roberto breaks the silence. “Where did you buy this wine?” “Oh, my father owns a wine company—” “This is not blood, right?” “No, no, no! It really is a wine made from grapes and the company is being run by mortals, and inferior vampires only supervise. It really is—”

Bringing his eyes to look at Cyrus, he saw him smirking. Kaemaral Wine was one of the deadliest eatable product that ever existed in Thronlake. For humans,it was tasted heavenly but for Vampires like them, it worked as slow poison. If any vampires drunk the Kaemaral Wine by mistake, he would be burning and aching painfully for the next two days. Even pure blood wouldn't be able to cure his state. The king was too shocked to say something. He kept staring at Cyrus disbelievingly. Cyrus hauled up from his chair, straightened his pitch dark retro suite and said his reason before taking his leave,

Taking tiny sips of the specially formulated wine for vampire's, which he had made himself for vampire's like him who didn't feast on human blood, Roman dwelt on the recent incident. The vampire's wine in his hands tasted differently today, and he blamed it on the woman in his guest bedroom. Now that he had caught on to fresh blood, he was afraid his desires would never die down until he once again had a taste of real blood. "Dammit!" He swore out loudly, causing a few of his subordinates to look in his direction, "Why did she have to drop that glass?"

Then he pointed at the glass in Vivi's hand with his chin before he said, "Drink it. It will help you sleep better." Vivi stared at the glass in her hand, looking hesitant, though she finally raised it to her mouth and began to drink it with both eyes closed, silently praying that she wouldn't get drunk just because of this glass of wine. She was unaware that Darren, who was watching her, secretly smiled from the corner of his lips. "I bought this wine straight from Paris. It tastes really good, doesn't it?" Darren asked. "Yes, it is... Why are you pouring it for me again?" Vivi protested when she saw Darren filling her glass with wine without asking her permission.
