The magic coalesced into a radiant sphere above my palm, its luminescence casting a soft, comforting glow. Closing my eyes, I created a mental picture of Vincent using magic to control Tarr. Vampires used blood magic, so I visualized red threads projected by Vincent, the threads tied on different parts of Tarr’s body—his wrists, knees, ankles, head. Tarr was a puppet to Vincent who controlled those threads. The magical sphere pulsed with intensity, responding to the urgency of my intent.

I sneer, dragging her back to Anastasia and march right back into the fracas of magic. Magical lights of blue, green, purple, yellow, red, gold splash across the sky. It's actually really pretty.
