Promises We Made at Seventeen

Promises We Made at Seventeen

Evening routines. Conversations that start mid-thought. Meals eaten without ceremony. Nothing is wrong. Nothing is extraordinary. And that’s the test. This chapter opens in a weekday moment—unremarkable, unphotographed. We move around each other with familiarity that no longer needs explanation. There’s comfort here, but also risk. Because ordinary days don’t demand intention. They require it quietly. I realize that the real shape of our future will not be decided by declarations or promises, but by how we inhabit these days—how we speak when we’re tired, how we listen when nothing urgent is being said, how we respond when repetition tempts disengagement.

Behind the Ice Wall

Behind the Ice Wall

“Genuinely meant.” We spent the afternoon doing nothing that mattered and everything that did — a walk through a park neither of us usually risked, careful but relaxed, her hand in mine the entire way; an hour spent on my couch debating, with real passion, which of two mediocre movies deserved to be watched first; a slow evening that stretched into dinner neither of us planned, leftover pancakes eaten cold straight from the pan because neither of us wanted to bother with anything more formal. “This is what I want,” she said, somewhere near the end of it, curled against my side on the couch, the television playing quietly in the background. “Not the grand gestures. Just this. Ordinary days th

The Alpha's Lost Mate.

The Alpha's Lost Mate.

"Is that how it feels for you now, with Dominic? Ordinary, underneath everything else?" "Much more than I ever expected it to feel, lately," Sophie answered, her gaze drifting toward the high windows of the villa's main study. "For months and months, it felt like every single breath between us was heavy with something enormous, some terrible crisis, some political decision, or some constant fear pressing down on our chests. But these past few weeks, ever since everything finally settled, I've started noticing the tiny, ordinary parts so much more. The quiet way he makes my morning tea exactly how I like it without needing to ask me anymore. The way Ethan stands his ground and argues with him

Eight Days

Eight Days

Bisola began to laugh unnecessarily. The previous Eight day was the best day of her entire life, because everything about her life changed completely during the past Eight day, her life took a total turned from just an Orphan to someone who found Love, and also about to became an Entrepreneur. Bisola smiled again and looked up in the air.

All of that lived on the other side of a door Tristan did not open for the first full day. “They can wait,” he said when a steward approached the outer threshold. “The territory waited through wars. It can wait through one day of ordinary.” Ordinary. The word still sat strangely on the tongue. Ordinary was the cry at uneven intervals. Ordinary was the learning of a latch, the wince of a body after a gate, the way Tristan’s hands shook the first time he changed a cloth and then steadied because shaking was not useful. Ordinary was my mother’s quiet presence and the medic’s return checks and the continuous private astonishment that the child remained real when we looked away and looked back.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Empty Chair Morning settled gently over the house. Not the kind of morning that demanded attention. Not the kind that arrived with thunder or battle cries. Just... morning. Warm sunlight slipped through the kitchen windows. The smell of pancakes still lingered in the air. Someone had opened the windows. A soft breeze carried the scent of wildflowers into the house. For the first time in what felt like forever— peace sounded ordinary. Honestly? Nobody knew how to act around ordinary anymore. Fair.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Bonded to Alpha Darius

she said. Something moved at the corner of his mouth. "And you," she said. "What do you want for the next year?" He looked at the garden. "More of this," he said simply. "The specific accumulation of ordinary days that contain the right things." He paused. "I spent a long time before the bond understanding that the extraordinary was what mattered. The decisions and the leadership and the significant events." He looked at her. "I understand now that the ordinary is what the extraordinary is made of. The mornings in the kitchen and the evenings in the east sitting room and the walks to the community hall and the dinners with Roman and Lily." He paused. "I want more of the ordinary."

Make Our Days Count

Make Our Days Count

“Don’t you have any relation? Someone whom you're willing to risk spending years in the hospital so you could see them everyday. So you could touch them everyday, so you could feel them everyday. Is there no one?” Someone asked. It wasn’t the teacher... It was the guy she had sat beside earlier. But he wasn’t staring at her. She was silent for a long while. The guy finally stared at her. “then I guess it really isn’t worth it.” He said sarcastically. She smiled at him. “somethings just have to die for others to live.” She said. “take for example, the butterfly. I know my mum is gonna live beautifully and peacefully knowing everyday that I’m no longer suffering.” She said. The guy looked away

High School Days

High School Days

~BELLUS POV~ The feeling of being alone and unwanted. Why am I living? What I am living for? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It's been 2 days since I got discharged at the hospital and I am doing great, although the bickering and teasing with Pawell and Keith seems fun, it was kind of boring these days, plus the weather was still cold. It was almost my birthday and I can guess that it would turn out to be an ordinary day, maybe my parents would just send me some gifts like before.

My Ordinary Love

My Ordinary Love

Returning to my office I buried myself for other work so as to patch up the time that I miss this morning. while I was working on something pop-up in my mind, I pulled myself together unconsciously stole a glance at the clock on the wall that hangs above my office door. It was already twelve in the afternoon, time for lunch I don't have to bother myself ordering take-out food for my boss because he has a client meeting outside. I gather myself to the cafeteria just on the first floor of this building. I ordered my food and finish it in no time. I came back to my office. Time flew so by quickly. A day passed just like that. Before I go home I prepare the files and proposals that need to be re
