It started with a low current , flowing through one hand around my body and out the other. It felt like a pulse , the power of it getting stronger with time it passed through me. The low breeze that had flowed around us became a strong wind wiping through our hair and clothes. But the leaves kept floating through it all. My eyes were focused on the babies. Making sure they were OK , at one sign they weren't, I would break this link with no issues. But they seemed fine. When the leaves dropped from floating and the babies' eyes turned back to their usual colors, I knew that their magic was gone for now. Locked away until they turned eighteen.

“There won’t be any evidence left behind except the magical energy.” Jules’s eyes widened in realization as he processed my words. “So, what do we do now?” he asked, his voice filling with uncertainty. “We need to trace the source of the magic,” I replied, my mind racing as I tried to recall the spell I had read in a magic book. “I remember reading about a spell that can help us locate the origin of a magical energy.” “Okay. Well, can you do that?” Jules inquired. “Yes. I just need to remember.” I answered, placing a palm on my forehead.

(Scene zooms in to find a trio of aspiring mages, Jourton, Camole, and Signoru entering the ruins south of town. Jourton: A young man with coal black hair and deep Brown and red roots, with eyes that seem to stare into the universe itself responds to the young woman with a hasty retort, "Of course I do, it’s another test. All we have to do is pass." Camole: "No, we got caught out on the battlefield using magic infront of Balshions and this test is probably punishment for that. At best, they’ve upped the difficulty for us and at worst, there’s some kind of trap within the test."

The old woman's smile faded, and she looked at Jenny with a concerned expression. Her twinkling eyes seemed to penetrate Jenny's being, asking, "Can you guess?"

Maddison P.O.V. I was 10 when my pack threw me out like yesterday's leftovers. The Alpha - Richard, usually was a strict but fair leader, but when it came to his Luna, he went overboard with all kinds of crazy. She fell ill, and even the magic in our doctors couldn’t help her. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her, and eventually she died from it and the pack mourned her deeply - or so I heard. By the time Luna Jennifer died, I was long gone and not looking back. The funny thing? I never got the stench or mark of a rogue. It was like I was a regular wolf, but without the pack.
