The night I almost died. Panic rises in my throat, but I force it down. I watch as Michael disappears inside. Minutes feel like hours. Then—he’s back. I open the door before he even reaches the car. "What is it? What did you find?" Michael slides into the seat, his face pale. "Elizabeth... Dr. Maggie is dead. A few days ago. Car accident." My world shudders. "It can’t be a coincidence," I murmur. Michael exhales. "I don’t think it is. Someone might know you’re alive."

The moment they saw the child on the ground, their expressions hardened. "What happened here?" David's expression changed drastically. He hurried forward. "Officers, it's a misunderstanding. We were dealing–" "A dead child isn't something you call a misunderstanding!" Right then, an ambulance arrived as well. Medical staff hurried in and began examining the body. Another officer had already started taking photos and setting up a perimeter. "No one leaves. Everyone will stay and cooperate with the investigation." Esther panicked while stomping her feet. She then leaned in close to me, grabbed my sleeve, and whispered, "Eve, help me testify. Just say the child suddenly ran out–"

Blood splattered and pooled around Hugh’s body. Hugh widened his eyes in shock and fell onto the floor. Before the ambulance arrived, he was dead. Meg was also detained by the police. When she looked into the cameras in the crowd, her eyes were brimming with tears. “Dad, I was wrong. I have avenged you!”

Maggie was walking down the streets in the early night accompanied by Rory Thompson, they shouldn’t be walking together but they just couldn’t be that far away from each other. Rory was a little more protective now of her, while her father believe danger had passed the Thompson boy was not that at ease since he heard the events of the death of Claudia Martin. He made sure that Maggie knew some of the details of what happened there, as least graphic as possible but he avoided the alleged curse that she left before giving herself to the dark one.

The crime scene photos were old and yellowed with age, but the wounds on the victims were identical to the ones in her case—gaping, jagged lacerations that spoke of unspeakable violence. She scanned the report, her pulse hammering in her ears. Lead investigator: Detective Michael Cross. Her father. The world tilted on its axis. "My dad worked this case?" Harris nodded, his expression grave. "Thirty years ago. Same pattern, same full moons, same damn claw marks. He never solved it. And then, one night… he vanished."

Elder Magaret continued. "If we dig into their client records and track the money trail, we’ll find our killer lurking in the depths of debt. It might take time, but I'm sure the answers will be there. This strategy might finally lead us to him, especially since the first two murder cases were closed when we couldn’t pin the evidence on Sarah." Alpha Derek let a moment of silence settle, his gaze flicking toward Alaric before he spoke. "You are right, Magaret. As soon as we learned about the massacre, we considered that possibility and started working on it right away."

Dimitra’s camera angles showed the man walking out the back door of the gym with an easy posture as if they hadn’t just murdered in cold blood and walking to the end of the alley. The sound of Sienna sobbing softly behind Ares at the murder of the man on the screen was a stark contrast to the rest of the responses in the room. He knew if it was Magda, she also would have cried. How these two were best friends with Dimi and Darya was a puzzle to him. “He’s a pro,” Miklos commented quietly. “Whoever took Magda sent a pro to close up loose ends.”

I saw how panicked my husband was, after my revelations. "Then what else did he tell you?" he held my hands. I was about to continue when I heard two of our staff coming in our direction. They were panting and sweating. I wasn't able to eat even a single food, I run towards them and my husband was behind me. "Ma'am... sir," Margie was trembling in fear. "What happen Margie?" I don't know what is happening but I don't like what it is. "It's Mica, one of your staff. She was found dead in the comfort room in building three,"

She informs me. “Well, what about you? Did you have a good day?” I ask. Megan shrugs. “It was alright. But pretty much everyone was too focussed on the murders to get much work done.” She comments. “Murders?” I ask. “You didn’t hear? I guess you didn’t read the paper then. There was a double murder last night. Two people, a married couple were murdered in their home. Even worse their child is nowhere to be seen, she’s probably been taken, likely she’s dead already. A little girl. It’s so sad.” Megan sighs and pokes at her dinner before taking a bite. A little girl… why does that make me feel so afraid? Sad would make sense but afraid? And why does it ring so familiar? Maybe I’m overthinking
