Tammy: Brunch was going well with everyone chattering about one thing or the other. Gradually, the conversation shifted to business chatters, where I gathered that Zoe was the heir to her father's business empire as his only child. Ultimately, she smiled faintly and said, "I know." She got into the driver's seat and drove off. As the distance between them and the Ziegler residence grew, Maisie asked, "Mommy, are you upset?" Eleanor smiled. "Of course not. Why would I be?" Maisie said, "That lady's name is Jessica Summers, and she's Daddy's assistant. I think her home is in Brindley, and her parents are college professors. She kept repeating that during dinner… Mommy, will she become my new mommy?"

She shook her head. Ingrid walked over to Maisie; she was cold and hostile. She gave Maisie a frosty once-over. Maisie was beautiful, and her eyes had a natural power to make others settle down. Compared to Sapphire, she was more like Isabelle. Cold, arrogant, elegant, and confident. The sight of Maisie's face reminded her of Isabelle. It also made her blood boil. She could forget about Isabelle now that she was dead, but why did Isabelle have to have two daughters who looked so much like her? There they were, seducing men everywhere they went!

I went up to my room to change, a pair of clothes I'd bought at a thrift store so I could look for a job folded on top of the desk, ready to be put on, I put them on and ran downstairs, feeling more and more hopeful. Bob explained to me on the way about the company his daughter worked for, and this made me very excited. It was a very famous cosmetics company, Make-Pró.
