"You really think this one's different, Mom?" Malia asked, her voice laced with skepticism as she dropped her duffel bag in the foyer of their cozy suburban home. She had just gotten home from her first semester at college. At nineteen, Malia was petite, with fair skin that contrasted sharply against her mother's olive tone. People never questioned it, fearing they would be offensive. "You look so much like your father," her mother would always say. Talia, a vibrant woman in her early forties with curves that turned heads, sighed deeply from the kitchen doorway. She wiped her hands on a dish towel, her engagement ring catching the light.

A year later, Malia was now fully aware of her powers, and no, she didn't practice safe magic. Her favorite pastime was turning the maids into any animal of her choice. Her mother would have to yell and yell before she released her suspect. One time, she went too far and completely drained the life out of one of the maids. She would have run if I hadn't chanted a spell that kept her rooted in one place until she confessed what she did.

Derek shakes his head but smiles as he follows her inside. "Malia, do you still like that loser?" Scott asks inside the big hall. Talia says, "Malia, you saw how useless he is. He found another girl fast. It is shameful!" Malia looks calm now. "I am done with him. What he does is not my business. He just brought her to make me mad." Scott grits his teeth. "That girl is Lydia Hale. She is the top pack girl. I do not know why she likes Derek." Malia smiles like she knows a secret.

Banshee took it from him and sipped it a little before she started to speak. "Alyssa, my daughter is having issues with someone from her school" Banshee began her statement with that. "Firstly that is not good news and secondly that is non of my business. She is a witch, I'm sure she can sort herself out" he nodded his head and he picked up a paper in front of him. "I strongly believe that the person she is talking about is Mia" Banshee's blurted out gaining his attention as he dropped the paper to look at her with eyes and mouth open.

“That is a fucking lie!” She screamed! “Is he right?” Kyle asked and Malia glared at Draven before turning to Kyle. “No baby, that is a lie. You trust me right?” She asked giving him a look and Kyle nodded, Xalia rolled her eyes and scoffed at how gullible Kyle was to her. “Just so you know, your wife was once a whore.” Malia said to Draven and Xalia froze. Why does Malia have to bring that up now? She is not wrong though but she has tried to bury the memories of it.

Thalia responded, seamlessly transitioning from business to attend to her surroundings. "Detective Wallace is here," Marie informed, adding an unexpected twist to the routine. "Show him into my office. I will be there in a minute." "Okay, Mom," Marie walked back, leaving an air of anticipation in the room. "Detective Wallace? What do you have with that man?" George inquired, highlighting the intrigue surrounding Thalia's connection with law enforcement. "I'm his informant. We talk about Gabriella. Is that enough for you, George?" Thalia answered politely with no hesitation, subtly revealing her dual roles.
