Lana’s POV “Lana, you cannot change who you are.” My so-called mother was trying to tell me that I was part witch. “You’re wrong. There is nothing witchy about me and as much as I hate to say it, I am a wolf.” I look at Sam and Caleb, “Wouldn’t they be mixed too if that was the case?” “It…I know what you are Lana. You showed me how you could control things the moment you were born.” “If I was a witch, I would be pretty certain that I would know about it by now.”

“Don’t. That’s what he wants.” I froze, breathing hard. Leonard smiled wider, satisfied. “That’s right,” he purred. “Listen to your loyal dog. He’s the only thing that”s stopping you from drowning in your fury.” “You don’t get to say her name,” I hissed. “Her name?” He arched his brow. “Oh, Lana? She’s… quite charming. Isn't she? Even when she’s terrified. She looks lovely.Did you know she fights back? Like a little rabbit baring its teeth at a wolf. But a rabbit’s still a rabbit.”

Chapter Five Hundred And Forty-One The others were confused at Lana’s statement but Liam had a pleased smile on his face. He decided to explain to the other clueless personnels. “Three years ago, Lana was revealed to be Muse, one of the greatest fashion designer in all of Emerald and Oakcrest city.” He started but was quickly interrupted by Diego who slapped his head in realization. “Oh right, that.” He said excitedly, “She won the best designer at that completion and got that deal with the Queen.”

Lana giggled, “you can wait, Alpha. I need to go shopping. The stores will close soon.” Raiden’s eyes widened, and he gasped, “did our mate just tell us no?” “I think she did,” I chuckled. “I mean, I could, -“ Lana began to backpedal. “No, no, no, little mouse. Don’t take it back now. It was fucking hot, actually; I love it when you're assertive. And you’re worth the wait.” Raiden said, hugging her tightly. “Be careful of the bump,” I reminded him.

Ella grabbed the menus and looked over the cuisines the restaurant had to offer. “Madame, Sir may I take your order please?” The waitress assigned to the table said, humbly in a professional tone drawing the attention of Ella and Keenan. Keenan’s eyes roamed the waitress from top to bottom liking what he was seeing, He cleared his throat and looked at the menu again. “I’ll have the Manti : Mini Ravioli and Red wine” He said flipping the menu down. The waitress quietly wrote the meal down and she turned to Ella. “You miss? Anything you’d like to order?” She asked holding her pen on the page not yet to write down the order.

But the fact that she didn't seem to want to be one of us was unsettling. "No, baby. You don't. Maybe one day you might be able to when you're older, but not for a long time." Lana brushed her hand over Maddie's forehead, pushing her hair out of her face. The small action brought a smile to the young girl's face, and her panic seemed to ease away. "Can I see your wolf?" Lana laughed, and for a moment, the room seemed to brighten before dimming back to the evening shadows. Everything about her was beautiful.

"Of course, she wouldn't be a worthy maid if she didn't know the basics." Lana nodded and chuckled. "I had a hard time keeping up with Lord Chaol's lessons." "Wait... so Chaol taught you?" Asty asked. "Indeed, he is quite the exceptional teacher." Lana replied. "So... uhm, are you a Night Hallow too?" Noelle asked Lana in a gentle way. "Asty mentioned to me that you were the maid who was quite experienced about machinery." "Ah yes." Lana nodded at him and smiled. "I am a Night Hallow and yes, I do have quite the interests in machinery."

Anna's eyes snapped to her and she started laughing. "Alright, I know your ears are too scratchy to wait. Well the thing is our Almighty Xander is returning to the country and would be resuming school on Monday" Anna said and immediately Madison jerked up making the brush I was holding fling out of my hands and hitting my big toe. I groan in pain fighting the urge to give her a hard knock. I mean what was the meaning of that? Did she just become this wild and scream so loud just because of this Xander of a person that Anna said would be resuming their school.

“You've no idea how low I am willing to go to protect the Castellan family from people like you.” Lana rolled her eyes, flipped her hair like a hair model, then sat on the chair. She picks up her magazine, completely ignoring Mira. Her indifference made Mira's blood boil. “You've two days to leave this house.” “Or what?” Lana laughed. She turned to Mira, licked two fingers seductively, then flipped to the next page of the magazine. “Or they might not even find your body.” Lana gasped, placing a hand on her chest, dramatically. “Oh, my goodness. Please don't.” She pushed her chest front a little, moving a hand from her chest to in between her legs. “This body is just too sexy to go to waste.”

It was far more elegant than anything my stepmother would have ever allowed me to wear. I quickly changed, and Elera helped pin my hair into an elegant twist before wrapping a velvet cloak around my shoulders. "You look like a true Luna,"she said with a grin. I rolled my eyes, don't be sily I don't even have a wolf. "Let’s go before someone catches us." Elera led me to the secret passage behind the old bookshelf in the library, a forgotten escape route from the pack. We navigated the dark, narrow tunnel, emerging in the forest behind the house. A black mare waited there, saddled and ready.
