Tell that to the Grand Canyon-sized hole in my heart where Mama used to live. Before the big Cancer gatecrashed our lives, Mama was a ray of sunshine. The sudden bang of the door shutting shook John from his dazed state. Looking around in surprise, he wondered where everyone had gone. The mother lets out a soft groan as it began to cuddle its crying cub in comfort. Although the scene looked so sweet and pleasing, I felt bad because I failed to do what I originally planned. But at least I was able to take them down to the foot of the mountain. I just hope that they won’t think about climbing back up. Just then, I saw the mother bear looking up at me with a low growl. She pushed her cub back and began stalking towards me carefully.

The mother bear is eating some wild berries while her baby cub plays beside her. Grant takes a picture and decides it would be a great idea to take pictures along their walk and make Amber an album so she can remember their first trip away. He hopes it will become one of many.
