All of a sudden, I hear metal scrapping against ground and a shiver runs down my spine. My eyes shoot open, going straight to my left where I caught glimpse of a door earlier. They are here. That’s my first thought. And then, I see three figures. They are so human yet there is something about them that is so different, it’s so visible. Perhaps, it’s all about the upward curves of their lips. No human can smirk after seeing such a sight before them. Only monsters are capable of such a terrible thing. Lights are turned on in the dungeon, but I don’t dare look at anything or anyone around me. I just keep my eyes fixed at the three tall men in the bloody dungeon.

The air in the room felt suffocating, so I left, my footsteps echoing softly down the hallway. The house was alive with motion. Maids bustled past, carrying trays and dusting corners, though more than a few paused to give me sharp, judgmental stares. I frowned. What’s their problem? He shoved the whole spoonful into his mouth. “Slurp—ahh!” The heat made him suck in breath through his teeth, but he could not stop. He crouched on the floor, hugging the chipped clay pot, shoveling the soup into his mouth with both hands. He made urgent, greedy sounds that soon turned into satisfied grunts. This was a dungeon, there was no doubt about it. Logan sat up slowly on the bed and his stomach growled. Food came hours later. A tray was slid through the small opening underneath the door. The smell reached him instantly. It was freshly baked bread with warm broth that smelt lightly spiced. His stomach twisted painfully in hunger. He stared at it but didn't touch it. He had ruled dungeons like this. He knew what fate acceptance meant. Eating meant compliance and he refused to accept this fate. He pushed the tray away with his foot.

I need a plan… Just then, I heard sounds… the clanging of a metal gate and then… voices… My ears perked up. Finally!! They probably sent someone with food or water… Maybe Carlo or even Zia caved and they were here to bring me food and water…. As the steps grew nearer…. I could correctly detect that four people had entered the dungeon. Four people??? Was I really sure? Why the hell would they need four people to feed me?? Except…. A pit formed in my stomach as my heart began to slam against my rib cage. Except they were here to torture me.

She empties the syringe of the weird purplish-green liquid. I see the man’s face contort in pain, but he holds in his screams for a few minutes. Maddie and Bruno are both just watching with satisfied smug looks to their faces. I can’t watch anymore of this torture. My body finally decides to unfreeze, and I move back to the doorway. Just as I open the door to the hallway, he begins to scream, even more alarmingly than last time. I can feel the nausea rolling up inside of me as I make my way toward the dungeon’s main inner door.

I thanked him as I hugged him deep. A few minutes later, the dungeon’s door opened again and a few guards came in with a big bowl where the beef stew was poured into, then there were plates and they rolled the food as they passed each side. They dropped the food for everyone and some people could not bear their hunger. They probably just tried their luck , if it would be that it wasn’t laced with anything. They seemed to be enjoying it. Then I heard munching sounds beside me and to my horror, it was Sam munching the beef excitedly.

the man insisted. "I won't take long, just two minutes," she begged. After a few seconds of hesitation, the man opened the door. "Be quick!" he commanded. "Thank you." Ms. Seline walked into the dungeon hurriedly. She dipped her hand into her apron and brought out a morsel of bread which she forced into my hand. "Take, eat this." I immediately wolfed it into my mouth. It wasn't enough, but it did a good job of satiating my hunger for a bit.
