Manhunt Book Novels & Stories

Let her understand that every word she had sworn beneath the Moon had led to that moment. Then I would tell her the truth. The Hunt had never belonged to her. Her freedom had ended the instant she wrote her name in the book. My wolf pushed harder. Go. My claws broke through. Aldric had begun the count. “One minute remaining.” Only one minute had passed. My body disagreed. Maeve’s scent was already fading beneath pine sap, damp earth, and the trails left by the other women. Not enough to lose her. Never enough. But enough to infuriate the animal inside me.

After we finished eating, Daniel and I went to where Daniel was meeting his cop buddy, Rupert. We arrived at the cafe an hour later. Daniel and I sat in the cafe, waiting for this Rupert guy to arrive. "I didn't realise you lied to your brother as well," I said to Daniel. He squinted and said, "Only on important occasions." "So, what are we going to do about the book?" I asked, smiling. "Let's buy after meeting up with Rupert," he said, motioning to the bookstore across the cafe. I nodded and sipped from my cup of milk.

Curious, I reach for it and brush it off. "Ooh," I gasp. It's not a book about werewolves. It's a hunter’s manual. Frowning, I flip through the pages and notice it’s is filled with gruesome details of how to hunt werewolves, how to kill them, and how to torture them. I glance up at Lucian, arching my brow. "Why would your parents have a book about werewolf hunters?" I ask, thumbing through more of the horrifying pages. Lucian lifts his head briefly to look at me, then lowers it back down to the stack of papers he’s sifting through.

Her eyes fell on a book with a black cover, the gold letters reading: “The Art of Breaking Chains.” She pulled it free, curiosity winning, and curled into his leather chair. The chair was far too big for her, swallowing her small frame, but she felt oddly safe in it. Before she realized, her eyelids grew heavy. The book slipped onto her lap as she drifted into sleep. Hunter returned late, his mood thunderous after the ring, after Geret. His mind was sharp, his body burning with violence he hadn’t been able to unleash fully. But the instant he stepped into the quiet house, he sought her.

Suddenly an idea clicked. I looked inside myself and found Blaze nodding too. Well he can read my mind. So no wonder he knew what I wanted to do. I looked around. Basically it’s a bit of a deserted area. Usually no maids are allowed here if me or Callum are here. So I stripped behind a tree and shifted. Blaze wanted to howl in happiness. He was getting naughty. And I was laughing thinking about Callum 's possible reaction. Taking slow and steady steps Blaze trotted to where Callum was laying. He gently pushed the book out of his face with his paw. Callum stirred for a while but he was in deep sleep.

It's supposed to, but I’m still deeply troubled with sleepless nights. Killing them didn't bring Leah back, I knew it was never going to, however, her killers didn't deserve to live either. “Come in” I knew Hunter was going to find me anytime soon and he just came knocking immediately. “Hey,” “Hey” I dropped the book I had grabbed from the shelf to read to tend to Hunter. Once I grab one of those books, I never take my attention off them easily. “What are you up to?” He grabbed a seat.

“You can come next week for the rest.” Hunter grabbed the man by his shirt and pulled him. He lifted him up and gave him the devil’s stare. The man had known he was facing death in its eyes. “Please Hunter.” “Give me one reason I shouldn’t break your bones now.” “Please, I have a family.” “Is that a reason?” “I know something you might be interested in.” “What could that be?” “I know you escaped from Zambia.” “So?” “There’s a rumor circling around that there is manuscript about the Hamuumbu’s.”

“It calls to death. Every time it surfaces, someone dies.” Kael gave a faint, humorless smile. “Then death will have company.” The convoy moved deeper into the mist, engines echoing through the valley. Above them, thunder rumbled again — closer this time. The forest itself seemed to be holding its breath. And far behind them, hidden in the fog, two sets of eyes — one crimson, one golden — followed their every move. The hunt for the Book of the Damned had begun. ---

If he wants to play a game with me, I will do it. …………………………………………………………………. When I wore my clothes, I went to the school garden while carrying my bag. Then, I sat on the bench. After that, I took a novel in my bag entitled ‘The murderer’s perfect crime,’ its writer was Mantus Taylor. Many people around the globe read his book. I opened the book, and I read chapter twenty-seven of it. “So, you are reading my book.” I heard Mantus say to me. So, I looked at him. He is holding two sandwiches right now. He is also wearing his watch in his right arm.

“The Huntsman always seemed to have some sort of plan. I don’t know exactly what order that will unfold in, but the methodical elimination of all creatures possessing magic or supernatural abilities definitely seems to be his MO. You And Justin might have brought this war to the packs a little sooner, but I don’t think they would have avoided conflict with him entirely. I think it was only a matter of time before the Huntsman came looking for them one way or another.” My jaw tightened. “All the more reason for us to find a stop the Huntsman as soon as possible. And I know exactly where we need to start looking. When I was in the library, one of the times that I snuck out, I ran across a book
