I start laughing. Malachi runs for me, grabbing me off the ladder and throws me over his shoulder. "Hey, let me down I'm not finished with these lights," I say, laughing. "You've been asking for it since I walked in the room," Malachi says, smacking my ass. I squeal out of surprise. "Amelia, help me!" I say through my laughter. Amelia looks at me with a knowing smirk. "I am staying out of this," She says with her hands raised. "So much for being best friends since elementary school," I say, giving her a playful glare, as Malachi walks out of the door towards the stairs.

“Aww, that sucks!” I laugh at her, putout expression, and pull her back into my embrace. Unfortunately, we’re so caught up in our greeting that we don’t notice my men's silence until a loud female cough interrupts our musings. Val and I both turn to face Maleah, who is standing near the doorway with a scowl. Val gives her a curious look as she approaches. “Hi, I’m Valkyrie. You must be Maleah?” She asks, extending her hand in greeting. Maleah eyes her hand, hesitantly takes it, then coldly replies, “Yeah, I’m Maleah,” I frown at her cold tone as she releases Val’s hand and strides into the room.

Amani felt the depth of their bond, the completeness of their union, as they stood together, basking in the warmth of their love. And then, with a sharp gasp, Amani was pulled back to reality. Her fangs retracted from Malakai’s flesh, and she found herself back in the tent. Her gaze locked onto Malakai’s still form as she desperately searched for any sign of life. I’ve seen Mehmet break a man’s arm for breathing too loud, and there he is, playing the doting grandpa.” I ignored him, staring out at the shadowed mountains.

He was dragging her deeper, into some shadowy corner of the digital emptiness. "You can’t have her!" Julian’s voice rang out, cracked and jagged, like a record skipping. He lunged forward, kicking at the man’s face. His foot went straight through the man's jaw, like smoke. Yet somehow, it was enough—the grip broke free. Maya felt the pressure vanish from her ankle. She spun through the white space and landed, sprawling, on a floor that seemed to be made of glowing glass.

I watch helplessly as dad circles Enzo. “What’s wrong Derek? Make a move, I dare you.” I cover my body in an electric current and lightly shock Aspen to get him to let go and then I send a fire ball straight for Enzo. He drops Malayah and dodges my attack and Malayah scrambles to get to dad. Dad tries to get to Malayah, but Enzo is faster. He grabs Malayah from behind and snaps her neck like a twig, her body falling to the ground lifeless. “NO!”

Kane crouched. His muscles coiled. "I’m going to drink her dry. And then I’m going to rip that map out of your skull." "Now, Maya!" Malakai screamed. He lunged. Kane was faster. He met Malakai in mid-air, his claws sinking into Malakai’s shoulders. Malakai screamed, blood spraying across Kane’s fur. But Malakai didn't pull away. He grabbed Kane’s head. His thumbs dug into Kane’s red eyes.

Right on cue Mai's eyes shot open, leaping from out of her bed. "Don't you dare touch my meat!" growled Mai, fire burning in her eyes with the intent of defending her precious meat. Seeing this, Maria couldn't help but sigh at her meat-loving best friend. 'She reminds me of a certain anime character. The only thing missing is a straw hat and Mai declaring her dream of wanting to be Pirate King!' Maria recalled a popular anime series from her old world before walking over and snapping her fingers in front of Mai's face. "H-Huh? Where's the meat?" Blinking her large amber eyes, Mai finally realized her surroundings, which was their dorm room, her precious meat nowhere in sight.
