Mare remained silent for a moment, staring at the ground. The tears that gathered in her eyes finally fell, and she placed her palms on her face. “I’m such a bad friend.” She said between sobs.

Rivera brought the last dish and sat down on the chair. After eating, Mrs. Rivera suddenly remembered that she still had work to do, and quickly said to Timothy Roxanne: "Timothy Roxanne, are you busy these days!" Timothy Roxanne paused for a moment and then said, "Not too busy, are you okay?" He gave her some flowers, sent a letter, and asked her to become his wife. I cringe at the thought of Jaz getting married to such a dumbass. “Well, why did you turn him down?” Marinette's laughing hard, fingers digging into the shrimps on the dining table. She raises her head, meeting Jaz’s gaze. “He might really like you, you know?” She teases, “there's no harm in trying him out.”

Because Miren knows that if she doesn't even pour him a few buckets of cold water, Marik won't let her go and let her go home. “I tell you, I don't care what kind of paranoia you have, but what you have in my hands is completely possible without having to be your friend. “Men suck.” I snorted into my wineglass. “They really do.” A beat. “Except Luc,” she added pointedly, reaching for the popcorn. I raised a brow. “Don’t start.” “I’m just saying. He’s the one man I’ve met who doesn’t suck. And don’t give me the ‘we’re just friends’ speech. I’ve memorized it. Doesn’t mean I believe it.” I sipped my wine and tried to act casual, which felt impossible. “We are just friends.”
