Stella asked in a very annoyed tone. "Not like that," Marvin answered with a flat expression and tone. Stella, seeing the expressionless face of the man, started to get upset. She closed her eyes and exhaled. "I know!" Marvin moving closer to Stella until her head touched his chest. Stella swallowed her saliva, her heart beating faster than usual with no distance between. Marvin, still expressionless, removed the hairpin that held Stella's hair in a bun. "Your hairstyle is wrong. You look older with your hair up like this," Marvin said. He tidied Stella's hair until it fell loose. Marvin also placed a hairpin to sweep her bangs to the side.

She decided to do Elena's hair up in it instead. Elena watched as marie sectioned out her hair, but wasn't sure why she had so many sections. She decided that as long as it felt this good to have marie do her hair; she would be patient enough to wait and see what she was going to do with it. She closed her eyes and let Lena have her way with her hair. She could feel marie moving back and forth around her, pulling one section, then another. She heard marie start to sing under her breath and elena smiled. She could tell that she had made Marie's day by letting her do her hair.

Marinette scrunches her nose and then nods and says, “Okay, thanks. Could you bring me Marigold?” The woman grabs the baby out of its bassinet, and I realize that’s where the blueberry scent is coming from. Marinette smiles as she holds the baby in her arms and the woman dismisses herself. Marinette glances at me and says, “So… Chase Croft.” The way she says my name makes butterflies erupt in my stomach. She looks me up and down and says, “That name sounds familiar, have I met you before?”

If Maylin hadn't saved the day and trimmed up the mess we made, the lot of us would have needed to go completely bald. I run my hand over the prickly stubble.
