"We haven't seen you in so long! Come in, come in!" Mario gave another good-hearted smile and stepped inside. He looked around the cozy building, proud of his parents' house. It definitely had a homey feeling to it; decorated with paintings of nature and all, photos of the family, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mario felt at home the moment he stepped inside. "Paul!" His mother shouted down a hallway. "Paul! Mario's here!" "Whatzat Marie?!" A voice boomed back. "Quit your yapping, I'm trying to get some work--"

And though I was still upset, I put my hand on his arm and teasingly said, “Maybe today is the day I will get to know how old are you.” He turned to look me, the moment hung suspended and then his shoulders relaxed a bit as he replied, “Keep trying, little devil. You’ll get to the right answer eventually.” The room seemed to relax collectively and Mario said, “Enjoy your meal. Then, I’ll bring the cake.” Mario and the men started to leave silently, I wanted to ask them to stay but I knew that Antonio didn't allow his men inside the castle and they probably only came to help Mario.

Still, with his hand just resting on my lower back, he leads me over to the alley. We enter the alley and I see Mario sitting about halfway down, leaning against the sidewall. We make our way to him and as we get closer, I can hear him groaning in pain. I approach him slowly, "Hi Mario, do you remember me? Where have you hurt yourself?"

Glancing at Josh, who remained focused on a book, she shifted away from Mario, saying, "Excuse me, we are trying to work here." Mario, not bothered by Amelia's objection, leaned back with a smirk. "Well, I didn't mean to interrupt your little study session. Just thought I'd add some excitement," he replied, his tone carrying a hint of sarcasm. Ignoring Amelia's discomfort, he continued to linger, very intent on provoking a reaction from Josh.

While he was tending to his wound to stop the bleeding, my phone rang. "Mario, I have Matt, we are leaving it up to you, do you think you can manage?" I asked. "Of course-a boss, leave it up to a-me!" he said, Mario was a scottish man who had been a criminologist cleaning crew for as long as I had known him, which was well over ten years, he had a strong accent that sometimes reminded me of the character from that videogame where they had to save the princess. I think his name was partially what convinced me that he sounded like him.

He said and started to walk away, his long length carrying him faster than I thought anyone could walk. “Damn.” I mumbled as he walked away. Maybe I really should have thought about all these well. “Come with me.” Mario said, suddenly appearing before me. Or it was just that I didn’t notice that he was behind me. I slowly walked behind him, my legs a little bit shaky. I looked around the house and even the walls looked so precious—like they shouldn’t be touched. Mario stopped at a smaller living room and even with how small it was, it was way bigger than my whole house.

He kisses me and pinches my bud hard. I screamed in pain, I tried to push his shoulders, but his other arm kept me in place. "You seemed to forget that when I asked you a question, you answer me," Mario says while licking my neck. "I'm sorry, I'm not going anywhere. Please stop." I struggled to say this while he wiggles his hand in between my legs. I knew this is what he wants to hear. I have to push back my plan of escape. I can sense that he knows something.

I answered with a smile, getting up from my chair. But when I was about to head up the stairs so that I would make my way out of the theater, I tripped on Arianna's doll and was going to hit my head before I felt strong arms holding me back. Mario saved me from the fall. His arms were around my waist for a few seconds before he balanced me and pulled away. A moment later, after he pulled away, I still felt his hands on me. Gripping tightly around me. And I breathed audibly.

Allegra let out a groan, "Okay, everyone, let's just call them blocks. Plain old blocks." Aurora shrugged, "But blocks aren't as fun as Motherfuckers." Cristiano clapped his hands, "Motherfucker blocks!" Evangeline buried her face in her hands. "This is a disaster." Cristiano extended a block towards Marcello, who hesitated, then stepped forward, accepting the block. He looked up at me with a triumphant smile and declared, "Motherfucker." I couldn't help but laugh. "Really, that's the first English word you learned?"

“I can’t decide if you’re still just playing with her or if you’re starting to believe your bullshit.” Mario’s voice dragged me out of my thoughts. He was sprawled across my couch, a glass of scotch in one hand, a cigar in the other. Casually watching. Always watching. He set his drink down, picked up a magazine, and skimmed through it like it was the morning paper. “What happened to keep her at arm’s length?” he asked, not even bothering to lift his gaze.
