Mario The Music Box Arc Revamped Novels & Stories

I pulled it down. Inside, a journal. A stack of pictures, face down. Papers. And hair clips. Not one. Not two. A lot. I grabbed the journal first, shoving it into my robe. I could look at the pictures later. When I had more time. I shoved the box back into place and climbed back up the ladder, but then— The door swung open. I froze. Mario stood there, in the doorway. His face was blank. But his eyes— They were burning with anger.

Mario deadpanned. "I have got the pearl..." Nick faltered. "Oh, no! You just gave me the pearl if you haven't noticed..." Mario said in a sing-song manner. "No way!" Nick roared. "Hmm... I see." Mario laughed, turning the spear back into the pearl. Mario turned back to the other demons and angels in battle, "There is no need for war again, because I already have what I need, but, if you guys wanna have some fun... You can continue." Mario said, turning on his heels and walking away.

I exclaim really have to spell it out for these guys, really, I thought these are trained to work out this sort of thing. “You’re right!” Jackson says now raising to his feet joining me in my thoughts, finally! “Whenever Mario has done something bad where he thinks he’s out of his depths, he goes running to his mummy. When he kidnapped Alison, he went to his mother's house and hid that box which we found.” Jackson says only adding more evidence onto my theory which now, seemed like the only plausible explanation. “It was you guys who were sending the information in.” The same guy from before says with a shocked expression, I look over a little shocked myself that he hadn’t realised that.

Diego: “What is this, mama?” I asked, frowning in confusion at the sight of the box that was in front of me. Her eyes met mine and she looked down at it before opening the box. Weapons, ancient ones, fell on the ground in front of us. She nodded at them, then she looked at Mario. “Care to explain or should I?” She asked, and Mario rolled his eyes.

Mario is focused on his phone, typing on his screen as Adrian stares at him. "How is it going?" Adrian asked. Mario let out a sigh. "Pretty well. Ish." He said without looking at Adrian. "How are you?" Adrian asked. Mario looked at him. Adrian awaited an answer. "Oh, you really want to know?" Mario asked. Adrian didn't respond. "I didn't know you were that concerned about me. You have a girlfriend that makes you very happy," Mario said, smiling. Adrian kept staring at him. "The one you stole from me," Mario said, frowning.

All I can hold on to are the last memories I have with my mother and Mario allowed me to have a very beautiful goodbye. This is why it's so confusing, especially when killing for him is just a hobby. Am I up for this world? Perhaps if I just stayed in my line, he would keep his promise and let me go. I can't afford to just be part of the mafia's casualties, but the mere thought of me not being with him made me sad. I did develop feelings for Mario. Arianna, Andrea and Alessia really wanted to stay home with us but they have home room project. This is the fifth lost for me, it's an arcade game called bloody roar 2. My character is Alice and his is Yugo. Milo is good in this game. After the sixth time, I gave up instantly. He chuckles at my failure. I glared at the idiot. "You gave up so easily" he said. I rolled my eyes. "Like you would have let me win" I replied. He stood up and chuckle. I head to the kitchen and I noticed he was following right behind me. I sigh. As I entered, he entered too.

I waited until Maria left before opening it, slicing through the tape with a small letter opener. Inside was an antique music box. Beautiful and delicate, made of dark wood with intricate gold inlay. My breath caught when I recognized it from the photos Damien had shown me. It had belonged to his mother. The same one in the old family pictures. I lifted it carefully and wound the small key on the side. Soft, haunting notes filled the room. A lullaby I did not recognize but that felt strangely familiar. My heart ached as I thought of Damien and the pain this object must bring him.

Marcello sighed, shaking his little head with a dramatic frown. She burst out laughing. “Even if I am, I’m still your mum, and that means I win by default!” The little one only groaned and focused harder on his screen. They played until their coins were gone — Formula One, shooting games, a brief battle of reflexes at the claw machine — their laughter carrying over the hum of music and arcade lights. When the final coin clattered into the slot and rolled out again empty, they exchanged a look of mock tragedy and walked out of the arcade hand in hand.

"Mario..." ​Mario reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, velvet box. He dropped to one knee on the hard stone of the terrace. When he opened the box, a modest but brilliant diamond caught the mountain sun. ​"Chloe, you're the bravest person I know. You survived the city, you survived the Montgomerys, and you survived me. I don't have a castle to give you—just this fortress and a man who will stand in front of any bullet meant for you. Will you marry me? Will you be the one thing I never have to steal, because you’re already mine?"
