The Mafia's Dark Face

The Mafia's Dark Face

Sabrina
Rose said: "I'm going to work tonight too. One of the girls can't come. So I'm going. Aiden will sleep with you tonight." Martha said: "You disgust me. You keep wasting your life like that. Look at yourself. You have a face that makes men crawl under your feet. But you bury it in work. If I had your looks, I would never close my feet." Martha sighed, then continued: "Never mind. At least tell me. Did that nice doctor succeed in opening your feet today? Or did he fail, too?" Rose came out dressed for work. And Martha completely ignored. Then she got into her car and left:

The Mind Reader

The Mind Reader

Rye wouldn't let her answer because he'd disappeared on the other side. She was sitting on the hammock in the garden and closed her eyes, letting her thoughts settle down. Many thoughts came to her mind, those of her neighbors and Nay Remy. She seemed to be on a faraway island because she was so quiet, even though many people's thoughts were still coming in. She gets it now. Because of her feelings, she can't always figure out what other people think. Especially when Rye is on her mind, she can't read Rye's mind. It's like an intermittent link.

I jumped out of bed when I heard a knock from the door of my room. I realized to myself that it was just a dream and I just held my breath. I immediately got up and walked towards the door to open it.Martha appeared in front of me with food placed on a silver tray. She greeted me and tried to smile while we looked at each other. But even if she didn't say it, I could see the sadness in her eyes. I could also see in her eyes that she was crying. I took her to my room and she put the food on my small table.

Wow, I like this story. At first It writtens in First POv of Female lead but I am bit confused when it turns 3rd POv but I understand the story more in 3rd POV because it really shows the emotions of all the characters on the story. Keep it up, Author!

Xavier's Surrogate

Xavier's Surrogate

Then that chillingly familiar voice carried through. “Are you decent? May I enter?” Martha. Instantly Halle broke out in a cold sweat, her mind spinning. Why was Martha here now, after having her thugs drag Halle halfway across the world to this personal hell? What fresh torments did she intend on bringing?! When Halle remained frozen in fearful silence, the door simply swung open, Martha stepping casually over the threshold as if she owned the place. Perhaps she did – Halle wouldn’t have put it past her to have purchased the brothel just to deepen the cruelty Halle would endure.

The Billionaire's Pride(Eternal Love)

Martha denied it just like she did with the rest of the questions the detective kept firing at her. "Stop talking because I know what women like you do .. acting innocent…aren't you ashamed" she was a doctor and Victor trusted her with the safety of the hospital. Martha was a good surgeon, an intelligent woman with a bitter heart. A tongue of a serpent ready to spit venom. The only thing she regretted was leaving three years ago and letting Martha get close to Skylar. Who knew what she would have done

A Marriage of Convenience

A Marriage of Convenience

I lolled my head to the side, “Don’t listen to her, Shawn.” “You two really were made for each other. I find it hard to believe that this whole thing worked out as well as it did,” Marina pulls out her phone, walking over to a far wall, and leaning her back against it. Her combat boots cross in front of her as she relaxes into a position that gives off the guise that she doesn’t have a care in the world. Maybe she doesn’t. She seems like the type of person who wouldn’t bat an eye about having two people chained up to a pole in what appears to be an abandoned warehouse, but what do I know.

My New Stepbrother, My Mate

My New Stepbrother, My Mate

******* I walked inside the house without realizing that they were also heading out of the house. “My baby, come here.” Martha said to me with a smile on her face as she hugged me warmly. It feels like she's the only one that understands me very well in this house because she knows when I am sad and when I'm happy and especially when I'm worried about something. She just always knows when to be so nice to me. It felt like she read my mind and understood immediately that a hug is what I actually need right now.

“You can come here whenever you like.” “I don’t know how to read most of these.” Martha looked surprised. “You can read, can’t you?” “Enough to understand mission reports.” “That’s all they taught you?” Serafina nodded. “They said, books make people too soft.” Martha’s expressions filled with quiet sadness. “No... books make peopkle free.” She whispered.

She died a wife, Returned a flame

But I was sure she was suspecting me for the wrong thing, thinking I had interest in her darling husband. Well, I do but not in the way she thought. I was so lost in thought that I almost didn’t hear the soft footsteps behind me. “Rachel,” a voice murmured. I turned. It was Martha, one of the older maids. She had been in the mansion longer than most, her hair streaked with gray, her posture weary but firm. She rarely spoke, and when she did, people listened. “Yes?” I asked, setting the apron aside. She glanced over her shoulder before lowering herself into the chair across from me. Her eyes were sharp, her voice barely a whisper.
