Xander stared at her in confusion. “What happened?” Xander croaked. His throat hurt from dryness. Before Kimorra could answer, the doctors asked her to step aside. Xander watched with confusion as they examined him. “What happened?” he asked again. His hazy mind couldn’t provide details of what happened to him or why the doctors were hovering around him and asking stupid questions. “You were stung by poisonous spiders, your highness. It’s a miracle that you are alive,” one of the doctors finally replied. The fog in his mind cleared and he remembered screaming as the little creatures stung him.
