Divorced Me, I Accepted My CEO Propose

Divorced Me, I Accepted My CEO Propose

However, for me, it was the beginning of a much more painful hell. I, Evangeline Rutherford, was the wife of Roderick Langley. The marriage that started out full of promise and hope turned sour after the passing of my father-in-law. Rick, my husband, began to openly humiliate me. He picked up another woman, bringing her to this house, where I still live. Shamelessly, he made out with her intimately as if I were just a lifeless ornament in this magnificent palace.

My Husband Fell for His Brother’s Widow

My Husband Fell for His Brother’s Widow

I knew she was waiting to see her son-in-law one last time. I ran out to the hospital stairwell and begged Calvin to come, but he pushed me aside impatiently. “My mom’s dying. Please, just visit her one last time. I am begging you!” I cried, kneeling on the cold floor. However, his voice was ice cold. “Tell your mom to die later! I am busy!” What was he busy with? Comforting his sister-in-law, who was upset after arguing with her son. I wiped my tears, splashed water on my face in the bathroom, and forced a big smile when I went back to my mom’s bedside.

As the Fake Heiress Rose to Power, the CEO Falls Apart

As the Fake Heiress Rose to Power, the CEO Falls Apart

Martha’s expression turned a little wistful at the mention of her daughter. After all, she was their only child—and losing her so young had been the deepest heartbreak of her life. Back then, when grief nearly swallowed her whole, it was Mary’s quiet companionship that helped her find the strength to carry on. "What about her background?" Stellar asked. Mary mentioned bits and pieces before, but nothing too detailed. "She comes from a family of martial artists. Her husband does too. Back in the day, they were a formidable pair.

HER CEO EX HUSBAND

HER CEO EX HUSBAND

"Well, I met Mrs. Mary, the former Chief Maid of the Huxley family but now the Chief Maid of Marcellus. She could tell she was still angry with me." "Mrs. Mary's face was still etched with anger as I stood before her. I could tell she was still upset with me about the almost fight I had with Larisa on her wedding day. But then, as if a switch had been flipped, her expression softened slightly". Clara said." At that point, I expressed my desire to see Marcellus, and Mrs. Mary informed me that he was currently in the hospital due to being involved in an accident. I was shocked so I asked her which hospital he was located in, and she replied that she and the driver were on their way to the hosp

I enjoyed the good read. It was definitely a nice change from similar stories. It ended with 121 chapters so that's a plus for me. The characters' development was great through the story. I would say it needed more work in the romance department. It was like high school romance in the 1990s.

Yearning for Her Return

Yearning for Her Return

Emily Smith, who had just come out of the kitchen, heard this, and her expression darkened. She had married into the Stigg family and had been here for many years. Her husband had been treating her well. Her in-laws rarely interfered in her marriage, and everything had been fine. The only problem was her sister-in-law. Back when Mary hadn't been married off, she caused a lot of trouble at home. She did not merely cause trouble at home; she even caused trouble at Zelda's place. If it weren't for her brother-in-law's adamance in sending her back, this shameless woman would have surely broken up their marriage!

Ellen Addawe
I like the depth of this book, the character of the FL wherein she learns a lot in her life experiences, her moving on from the past and enjoying her life in the present. Not the typical love story wherein after all the heartaches, betrayal & rejection, still the FL gives the ML a second chance.

I stopped reading this book the moment Rebecca got married to someone else and Daniel is dying of late stage cancer, after all he suffered in the hands of his evil brother and family, I expected a happy ending for him and Rebecca but the writer chose other wise. He doesn't deserve this tragic ending

Dear Mate, You’re Mine!

Dear Mate, You’re Mine!

I wasn't going to take that chance. "What about the other maids and servants?" "Umm, all of them? I hardly remember the names of most of them." She chewed on her lower lips, "But so far, they are all good. Just a few naughty ones but nothing that cannot be handled. Mark is always making sure of that." Mark was Mary's husband and he served in the kitchen too with her, most times he served in the cleaning unit too. They were quite a harmonious couple and I didn't mind them at all. That's the kind of pair of mates you don't see enough of.

Slave of Alpha

Slave of Alpha

clarified her father. Martha’s father was a well-established trader in the whole village. He was also a member of the village committee that looked after the maintenance and well-being of the village. He was among the few people in the town who owned a motor car that could carry four people to a destination at once. Post dinner, all of them went to their respective rooms. Martha hugged the same pillow she’d been dancing with in the evening pretending it to be Matthew. She hugged the pillow even tighter and dozed off to sleep.

Horror Nights

Horror Nights

The tea had gone cold, a stagnant pool of amber reflecting the dim light of the kitchen. Martha sat across from Elias, her husband of thirty years, though "husband" felt like a title for a man who hadn't died inside a decade ago. They didn't speak much anymore. The silence in the house was a physical weight, a thick layer of dust that no amount of scrubbing could clear.
