Just as she finished shouting, she suddenly felt a pang of guilt and nervously glanced at him. Robert had pale skin. The back of his hand, which she just slapped, was already turning red. He had a bewildered expression. He couldn't understand why she was being so volatile. "I… I didn't mean to…" Misty stammered, her voice muffled by the mask, sounding somewhat choked. Her heart ached, and tears threatened to fall again. She was on the verge of suffocation.

Joy, the lady who I had done the rhinoplasty on greeted me as I walked into her room. "How are you Joy?" I replied to her flatly without even looking at her and walked straight to the monitor. "Nothing much. Just missing you." She responded in a weird voice. My eyes flew to hers. She had a weird smile on her face and I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me there was never a migraine. It was just a technique she had used to get my attention. I shook my head in disbelief as I tried to contain my anger. "Joy..." I said as I faced her. "Do you really have headaches?"

I looked intently at her face. I saw her gulp. "You're weird," I commented and laughed slightly after pointing at the mask she was wearing. I did understand why she didn't want to remove it but I couldn't help but feel upset. "Yet mysterious," I added. It's true. I felt intrigued by what her bare face looked like and I was also kind of confused about this strange feeling that I am currently feeling right now. I couldn't name it. But, there was a sure thing, I felt this kind of feeling when Angela was near me or talking with me.

I let out a heavy sigh, "I'm just feeling a bit overwhelmed, that's all." She nodded understandingly and left the room, leaving me to contemplate my future and the pressure that came with it. I took a long shower, tried to wash away my worries, and got dressed. My room was filled with gifts and well-wishes, but the joyous feeling that should have come with it was missing. I put on a brave face, plastering a smile on my lips, but it felt fake and forced. I couldn't shake off the weight that was holding me down, making it difficult to breathe.
