Novel & Cerita Matched Book Summary

James appeared with a cardboard tray of coffees just as his grandfather had finished telling me that I needed to be careful when it came to Onyx. But I’ve met him…. He seemed far more interested in me than anyone I’ve ever met. And he’s my mate, so he wouldn’t hurt me… right? James reached up, scratching the back of his neck nervously, “I wasn’t sure what you liked, so I guessed.” A deep sigh left his lips, “I hope you like it.”

he smiles nodding his head. "And Adassah?" "Well, let's just say Adassah is a protagonist of a book called a 'voice in the wind. It's my mom's favorite book. She told me that book leads her to my dad," Matteo chuckles. My mother met my dad when she went to our neighboring pack to buy the limited edition of the book. She was to take the last book from the shelf when my father's hand reaches for it. My father was only there to buy the book for my grandmother since she dares him for it. It wasn't his kind of thing as he was a pretty bad boy at the time.

As it was the time of recess, the library was almost empty except for the receptionist. Greeting her with a smile, I made my way to my usual table and took the book out of my bag. The book that I had borrowed from the pack library. The title read 'Tales Of The Mates" and the the book itself contained the real stories of the fated as well as chosen mates of the past Alphas. I had already read more than half of the book and I must admit that it was getting on my nerves now. Out of all the entries I have read so far, most of the happy endings were of the fated mates.

Orion, the pack's wise and knowledgeable historian, had delved deep into the city's hidden archives in search of answers. His voice resonated with a mix of excitement and reverence as he addressed the pack, sharing his recent discoveries. "Pack members," Orion began, his voice carrying the weight of revelation. "I have stumbled upon a prophecy, hidden within the ancient texts of our ancestors. It speaks of an Omega, destined to rise as an alpha through the bond of her alpha mate and her pack."

I blushed and smoothed my coat, both of us laughing at the near accident. "You want some cocoa? I remember how good it was last time my mom brought me here," he offered, running a glove through his hair. I nodded, and he disappeared into the main building, weaving in and out of the growing crowd. I turned back to the lake, my breath frosting the air. The sun was starting to set, turning the fresh snow a golden red as it pulled the blanket of mountains up over its head. Below me on a second tier of the deck, a bonfire popped and crackled, the smoke rising gently into the deepening sky. I watched the dark tendrils of smoke fade into the oncoming twilight, feeling peaceful.

***Bethany’s Pov*** After a few weeks as star-crossed lovers on the island, I decided it was time to focus on Jacob. As I was putting his belongings away, I discovered a journal among them. I was at a loss for words, but the journal bothered me, and I couldn't help but stare at it as I packed his belongings. My hand slowly moved to touch it as my curiosity grew. I jumped to my feet when Jacob entered the room, and his eyes widened when he saw the journal in my hand. He caught me red-handed, so it would be useless for me to lie to escape.

My gaze drifted over her, watching the faint rise and fall of her chest, each breath a quiet reassurance. “She’s important,” I finally muttered, not meeting his eyes. The admission felt strange and foreign. But the truth was undeniable. Damon gave a small, knowing nod. “I didn’t think I’d see the day.” I glanced at him sharply. “Damon, this isn’t the time.” He lifted his hands, a smirk tugging at his mouth. “Understood, Your Majesty. I’ll save the ribbing for later.” Mia returned with a small vial and a bundle of dried herbs. She uncorked the vial and a sharp, earthy scent filled the room.

a thick, leather-bound book, and held it out toward me. I stepped forward and took it with both hands. His fingers brushed mine, not long enough to be accidental, not soft enough to be comforting. My breath caught before I could stop it. Of course he noticed. I apologized in my head to his Luna, she had treated me well yet here I was admiring her man. But, he was my mate after all. “That is your contract,” his voice was even and steady. “Everything you need to know is inside, rules, expectations, your role in this house. Read it. Memorize it and sign it.”

I wanted to keep the secret of the mate bond a little longer, so it wouldn’t be tainted by others' thoughts and feelings, so I provided a half-truth instead. “I don’t know if you know this but my dad lost his fucking mind and decided to hold a game which he calls ‘The Mating Game’ where Miles and Orion have been competing for my hand in marriage. They had to come back for this meeting with you so they brought me along to meet the pack since I’m going to be a wife to one of them.” “More like both,” Lex purred with a sultry snicker. “Don’t get me started with you. We will discuss what just happened later,” I shot back my reprimand.

That’s when he saw it. A leather-bound album lay alone on the obsidian dining table. The omega housekeeper hovered nearby, ears tipped back in unease. “Alpha… this was in the refuse heap. I thought you might… reconsider.” He took it, the leather cold against his palms. Opening it, the first page struck like claws to the chest—the day of their Council-approved bonding. She was radiant, eyes blazing like she’d claimed the moon itself. He stood beside her, stiff, his own light shuttered.
