"If you need... anything. Protection. Answers. I'm here." His words hung heavy, laced with unspoken promises. Aurelia's pulse raced, her body betraying her with a rush of heat between her legs. She wanted to push him away, but the mate bond, unseen and unfelt by her, drew her closer. "Thanks," she whispered, meeting his gaze. In that moment, the fractures in her world felt a little less sharp, even as new tensions brewed.

Santiago was almost as evil as Lucifer. "No!" He whispered. "She's better off dead." "Oh don't worry, Mateo. You'll be dead long before she leaves." He said, pulling out a gun. "You really are an evil son of a bitch!" Mateo growled right before his head exploded across the wall.

Santiago clapped. Mateo pressed a button by the side of his top, "So you admit that you are Santiago De León." Mateo asked. "Yes I am, I am Santiago De León." Santiago smiled while answering the question. "And you are a drug lord who has been causing this country more harm than good." Mateo continued.

Ken felt so happy to hold his mate after a long time waiting. Mew on the other hand in his pack house sitting beside the mother of his kids and his lovely mate Filo, by holding her hand. Healers said she was in this state because of too much exhaustion. Still, Mew can't believe that his mate is here with him flesh, blood, and alive. Flin and Sam came back yesterday, they were too here with him waiting for Filo to open her eyes. The strong rotten smell from his mate making obvious that she was still in the spell of black people. So he was so worried about what will happen when she opens his eyes.

He's worried, I can see it in his delicate expression when he looks at me. For a moment I forget everything about this morning and how I promised to get away from him. Just for an instant. “I'll be fine. "I regain my composure." Matt is on the cell phone with someone. It seems to argue. Talk fast, I don't understand shit what he's saying. "Find it and let me know." Do not touch fins that I arrived. His voice is a growl. "He's Catalan," Santiago informs me, seeing the confusion on my face. He had not seen Matías worried about someone other than himself for a long time.

"I know you all have bottles waiting on your decks, so let’s get to it. In third place..." I looked at Santiago. He wasn't looking at the stage; he was looking at his brother. His face was open, radiant with a pride that didn't fit a Don. He loved these people. It was his only weakness. Ivy, Mateo, and Gabriel were in a line to our left. But the kid was gone. "Where’s Mateo Jr.?" I whispered. Santiago’s eyes snapped to mine, then scanned the line. He turned to his sister. "Valentina? Where’s the boy?"

Mateo's pov They all offered me appealing gazes but I knew that was a mask underneath their menacing looks. It was safe to say that no one in the mafia could trust each other but with the way things were moving, my height of paranoia would stretch to its limit and my patience was wearing thin. “Matteo has delivered the painting… but uh, is it safe here now that girl is around?” Angelou linked his fingers together. The man has more rings in his fingers and a scar on his left eye, evidence of five failed marriages. His eyes darted left and right as he spoke as though waiting for someone or backing him up.

Leo was still in my face. “No,” I replied flatly. “I don't have such plans.” His gaze widened. “What?” “On a second thought, why should I make her leave? She's still my mate and with Elena gone from my life, it's only right that I get some female companionship. And who better than Anastasia, right?” “You're a piece of crap, Vince…” “Yes, I know that. So that's why I'll tell you this. You don't have to stay by my side anymore, Leo. Run after Richard. Go kiss his ass. Grovel until he forgives you. I'll be fine alone.”

But who was I to judge? "I'm Jennifer, but you can call me Jenny. I'm Esteban's mate." Says the other with the curly hair. Jenny’s voice was very sweet sounding with a hint of Spanish accent in it. She looked cute but sexy in her black, slightly transparent blouse that had strings crossing over her chest in a shoelace style with leggings and shoes to match. I could believe that she and Esteban are mates. They looked like a perfect couple.
