His voice was low and threatening causing Juan to shake in fear. "San...San.. "You can't deal with Mateo and even the lady I told you to handle is still walking freely. I hear she is now telling her friends and anyone that cares to listen that she is very close to Mateo. What will the next news be? That she is now his mistress?"

he told the short man who was still trembling while he bowed his head. "Tha- thank you, Señior Madrigal!" he choked on his words which made Benjamin's lips twitch. "Get out! You're making me nauseous!" he exclaimed. The owner of the resort left their living room wobbling in his steps right away. "Santiago is scared to death, Señor!" Mateo chuckled. Thiago sent Veronica back to the hospital, and then he went back to Windermere Estate with Mateo. On the way, Mateo was so anxious that his suit was soaked in sweat. He kept bowing his head and apologizing to Thiago. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, Mr. Thiago, Punish me, any punishment is fine! It’s all my fault, I didn’t do my research properly. I didn’t know that the person I was dealing with was from the Chambers Group! I was wrong.” As he spoke, Mateo, a sturdy lad, began to choke up.

“Liam.” Alfredo’s expression flickers for a brief second—curiosity, then pure confusion. “Who the fuck is that?” “His son Liam.” And I could see the excitement light up in Alfredo’s eye “Interesting. Matteo’s got a son?” I nod, stepping closer. “Matteo is many things, but a father? He’s weak there. His son is the one thing he can’t afford to lose. I wasn’t even thinking about it until Aurora practically handed me the idea.”

Astra Isaac’s brother, Second Beta Michael, is finally old enough to feel the mate bond and Beta Dominic was less then receptive when he acknowledged it so Second Beta Michael asked for the bond to be broken. Given their situation it was approved. They were told they would most likely never have a second chance mate so they are free to actively look for a chosen mate.
