She giggles. Alrighty then. Coming from anyone else, I am sure that would be racist. "I hate calculus, but I'm ok at it." I shrug nonchalantly. To me, it is all about patterns and practise; once I start doing something new, if I find a pattern, I find it increasingly simple to perform.

Midnight just keeps moving het fingers like the keyboard is on fire and doesn't pay much attention to me. Employing my brain in math is the only thing that makes me feel like I'm good at anything, because it's so complicated and difficult that it requires everything from me and doesn't allow my ADHD to come out. Unfortunately, I've already finished all my classes that required practice and now I'm buried in theory, studying people like Pythagoras who died centuries ago and I couldn't care less about them. "Can I add some history, or do you want to just..."

Amelia The classroom was silent except for the scratch of pens against paper. My pulse thudded so loud in my ears I could barely focus on the exam questions in front of me. Numbers, formulas and equations, it all blurred together in a way that made me want to scream. No matter how much I studied, math just never stuck. My stomach churned. If I failed this test, my scholarship would be on the line.

But what really puts me in a sour mood is the result of my Math pop quiz. My eyes widen, as my hands tremble while holding tightly on the piece of paper that was given to my Math teacher. How did I get a 0 out of 100?! Well, back in my previous school, I did get at least one correct answer but seriously?! I whimper as my face presses on my desk. I studied really hard. I tried but I just couldn’t understand a single word at all. Their Math is way too advanced for me! Yes, I am not really fitted to study in the number one most prestigious school in the United freaking States.
