“Bingo,” Matthias’ voice slithered out of the shadows, smug and delighted.
Lucien didn’t hesitate. He lowered his head, hackles raised, and stepped into the circle.
The traps were cruelly designed, snapping at the air the moment his paw brushed too close. He moved with deadly precision, keeping his body angled away from the ones lunging toward me.
