Ardan PoV The day started with Draven standing at my door with his face as hard as stone. In his hand, he held a tiny, black book that contained his riddles and diagrams. I gestured towards the door, signalling him to come inside. “You look like hell,” I said sadly, pointing at the chair on the other side of the desk. “I’ve been having visions again,” he stated uncomfortably. The gravity of the situation was evident in his tone. “It’s about the relic.”

Mathew asked, tone infuriatingly reasonable, as though he hadn't just orchestrated an entire evening around this exact reaction. Silius rounded on him, glaring so hard it was a small miracle Mathew didn't combust on the spot. "What's wrong, you ask?" He lowered his voice into a furious hiss, leaning in so the people in line couldn't hear. "It's a feeling R-18 movie." Mathew's grin only widened, sharp and delighted. "Isn't that exciting?"

He asks as he looks up at me from the screen, taking his time to stretch as if he has been in one position for too long. "And you are watching a movie.”
