Maze Runner 2nd Book Novels & Stories

"Mr. Rogers. You located the boardroom. How. enterprising. The maze was behind them. Now, they had to face the minotaur. —-

Mia I don’t wake up. I surface… and it feels good. Like something dragged up from the bottom of a black, freezing lake, lungs burning, soul shredded, body barely remembering how to be whole. The chamber is quiet. Not peaceful. Quiet like something holding its breath. Stone dust hangs in the air, glittering faintly in the dying blue flames. The runes along the walls flicker weakly, cracked and bleeding magic like veins split open. The floor beneath me is scorched in a perfect circle, silver, violet, white-gold fused into glassy stone.

Our task: reach the summit before sunset while carrying supplies, signaling our progress to the observers. The maze was treacherous. Sharp rocks, sudden drops, and narrow ledges forced every step to be precise. Daren slipped once, and instinctively, I reached for him, steadying him while keeping our momentum. Liora’s eyes were fixed on a distant marker, calculating the shortest route while avoiding traps. The bond pulsed, guiding my focus, alerting me to subtle shifts in the terrain and the presence of hidden dangers.

Mia whispered, waking from her shelter to run toward the ridge, her bare feet kicking up the white chalk dust of our boundary. "No, Mia," Xander said, kneeling to catch her in his arms, his brown eyes bright with a quiet, unforced triumph. "It’s not a library. It’s the First Page." The Shifting Ledger The chapter concluded as the copper-green tree reached the height of the ship’s mast, its canopy spreading over the basalt ridge like an umbrella of living bronze. The leaves didn't hold numbers; they held the shadows of the names we had crossed out in the longhouse—a permanent, beautiful memorial that didn't owe its value to an audit district.

Through the pines. Down along the creek. Up the shallow ridge that marked the southern line. Past the second ward, weaving without thinking through the gaps only pack knew. Collin chased, snarling, relentless. He almost caught her once. She felt his teeth graze the fur at her hip — not biting, never biting, just reaching — and she shoved harder, sprinted, leapt the split-rock outcrop in one impossible bound. Collin landed a half-beat later. Stumbled. Recovered.

HUNTER Our trip to New York was less tiring than I thought, I can even say that it was a riveting trip, Maggie sleeps cuddle up in my arms while I read ‘Archer’s Voice’ by Mia Sheridan, with the cover covered in black , of course! After all, I’m tired of my friends making fun of me because I’m a MMA fighter who likes to read novels. We get to Park Central Hotel and Gary check us in, I’m so happy for Maggie being here with me I’m barely able to hide my happiness. Gary looks at us hugging in the elevator and throws a bucket of cold water on me by saying:

I look up into the milky white eyes of my best friend and say one word. “Dragon’s!” **Authors note** I hope you have enjoyed Book 2, the next book, will follow on from this from Monday the 15th of Dec. Book 3 follows the story of Princess Emerald and King Vulcan in The Dragon Kings Golden Obsession. Hope to see you all soon :) MM xx

And now, I would be alone to fight through another battle, navigate another maze that I had no clue, no map, and no directions to follow. Heat crawled up my back slowly, sparring with my palpitations. I wasn’t sure if it was the room, or me. Black fuzz tunneled my vision, the cold tiles felt like ice licking my skin as my knees dropped to them. I tried to cling on to the sink, but the heavy depths I was falling into were too strong, the gravity pulling me by the waist. I sunk to the floor, allowing the contrasting temperature to soothe my burning skin. “Dios mío!” (Oh my God!) a voice carried through the cracks of my mind.

I looked through the small windows and saw Logan, and my heart skipped a beat to find Liam beside him. I slam my palm on the window hard and scream at the top of my lungs. "Liam! Liam! Help!" The twins saw the car with me, Liam wanted to rush, but Logan held him back. Said something and went back inside. "Liam! Help me!" Where the hell are they going? The car made a sharp turn, making me almost tumble if it lacked medical equipment. The vehicle keeps turning from left to right and vice versa. I was getting motion sickness. I stand stable and hit the wall of the car. "Hey! Easy with the turns! I'm about to throw up." I barfed but held the vomit in, and it wasn't pleasant.

“Fuck… yeah. Let’s go east first and make a zigzag pattern.” “Alright.” Rolling it up, we took off in a run. Gavin used his fancy compass to map our location and where we were heading. “As long as they don’t go in the stream and stay on this side of the mountain….” “I don’t see Brett crossing the stream unless it’s unavoidable. She’s too smart for that.” For the next four hours, we ran. No signs of metal, helicopter or anything. “Piercy.” Gavin stopped and was looking at something.
